Re: Linn announcements 9/2018, Selekt, etc.
Interesting article in Positive Feedback. https://positive-feedback.com/audio-discourse/linn-returns-to-the-usa/ Confirmation that the new SO will be available to “suitability equipped customers”. I assume that to mean ones with internet access and a tape measure, but there may be more to it. I fou...

Re: Linn forum down?
I would also like to add my thanks to Fredrik for hosting Linn waifs and strays. Peter +1. From a newbie. But - now I'm here I'll most likely stay. Even if/when Linn get it together. So win-win all round I'd say ;) It's an excellent forum, is this! I joined over ten years ago - I'm more a lurker th...

Re: Linn announcements 9/2018, Selekt, etc.
I can pretty much guarantee there are no more new products coming out from Linn in October... The information from Gilad on the Linn forum saying “...during the launch period of our exciting new product and upgrades...” did make me wonder about the ‘upgrades’ part, although I guess this may refer t...

Re: Linn forum down?
I think, whatever the reason(s) behind the downtime, it would be a shame to lose the forum, for many reasons mentioned above, but also, in a small way, the ability to raise issues with beta firmware must be helpful to Linn. I can't see the tech folk wanting to lose this line of communication, altho...

Re: Katalyst
I agree with all that Nicolav posted. I had a dem of the Katalyst KDSM against the current KDSM on saturday. Better all round. My KDS update has now been ordered.

Re: Klimax Solo or Twin updated to Dynamik
In the main, no, but it would appear, from a comment on the Linn forum a while back, that Linn have (once) opened up a brief window again to perform this upgrade. No mention of it was made on the forum by Linn but I assume that Linn dealers would have been informed, so it might be worth the OP conta...

I think it's likely nowadays that folk would be looking for a 2250 with Dynamik - it would come to over £1100 to buy your amp as it stands and then upgrade it. I upgraded all three of mine and it made a huge difference - possibly you could consider doing the same yourself and you may then want to ke...

I replaced Ninkas with Espeks in my CD12/5103/Solos system. It was an error - the Ninkas were a much better speaker. Like others have suggested, a Majik DSi or DSM with 109s is a fantastic combination for the money. In fairness, I think the phrase "the Ninkas were a much better speaker" should real...

It's worth noting too that Linn doesn't now offer the Dynamik upgrade due to the fact that, as Fredrick has pointed out, you will lose settings if the Exotik is powered down, although you can save your setiings and restore them very quickly, rendering this an inconvenience rather than a problem. You...
