Re: Linn forum down?

Very true. I think Fredrik has been very gracious allowing all the linn talk on his forum. Imagine what would happen if the situation was reversed!
Kudos to mister L.

Re: Linn announcements 9/2018, Selekt, etc.

Firstly, who wants a control rooted to the box? That's insane. Imagine a TV where the main control is on the TV chassis and not on your lap? This isn't much different in that respect. I said the source was compromised because its pretty well known that a ds is a better source than a dsm. Those are b...

Re: Linn announcements 9/2018, Selekt, etc.

If linn wanted to go after devialet punters I'd have expected better amplification than the level they've bunged in this box. Plus that dongle knob... I can't believe it's not something you can remove and have near your listening position. Surely there's some klimax beating amp tech incoming? Source...

Re: Linn forum down?

Can you remove that knob controller thingy off the top of the unit so you can use it without having to get up? Sorry if that sounds dumb but I haven't read anything that says it's portable, unless I've missed it. You can remove it with enough force, but it wouldn't be pretty. ;-) There is a special...

Linn shut their forum down for a new dsm that looks like an xbox? Really? Surely there's much more to come.

Re: Linn forum down?

With regards to the linn forum there's too many ridiculous 'joke' threads and a lot of guff. I don't want to surround myself with that garbage when I'm looking for relevant information. I find it truly bizarre that linn are taking this stance and if the forum returns I don't expect it to be the same...

Re: Tundras / Exakt / PMC

Are they on demo Neil? I leave the lights on too, I'd probably just put one of those little dimmer stickers over them. There's definitely a teeny bit of difference between on and off. I'd have thought an audiophile like your good self would be prepared to go the extra mile to achieve audio nirvana!

Always. I can't stand the tiny speaker in the phone, it's unbearable.

Re: Tundra Stereo 2.5

As someone who thought an akurate 4200 was broken when I first got a tundra 1.1 over 5 years ago this doesn't surprise me at all. Plug it back in if you still have it and it'll be the day the music died. It's night and day and it amazes me why more people aren't buying tundra, it just gets better an...

I've moved my soundbar sub, I didn't like it near the speakers and I've put it where I could, depending on the waf, it'll stay away from the stereo.

The ones I liked best in reverse order 5 totem element ember 4 Spendor d7 3 linn akubarik 2 totem model one 1 totem tribe tower Model one are stunning, I'd imagine the replacement, the signature one to be at least equally as good. Akubarik are nice, these were passive with very similar to my current...

Ozzzy has a different set up.

It's been such a long time since I last shared any hifi pictures on the forum, so long that I'd completely forgotten how it was done! So I've reactivated my Dropbox account and I have made a hifi pictures folder. Please let me know if you see the images. I'll also try to add a recording of music tom...

Re: Where do we go from here?

Thanks Thomas and Fredrik. Awesome posts. A few years ago I took a kds2 (I think it was!) sagatun monos and tundra monos to someone to have a listen to with his speakers. They were huge B&W speakers in a very small room with classe amps. My initial thoughts were that the sound was very very shouty a...
