Hello again, Now I've moved, and the sound is a lot better! No plaster walls, only concrete and wood. As promised, here's a drawing of my new apartment: http://web.comhem.se/buttheyweresuited/lghritning_hifi.jpg Click to make it bigger! The squares with the "S" inside are of course the speakers. I c...

Any magnetic influence the speaker might have on the cathode tube will take effect at once or not at all. If I remember correctly (but this must have been ten years ago), Anders was actually talking about an effect in the long and not the short term. But what you say seem more plausible. Great that...

Hm, interesting. I have never heard this question before. Should be rather easy to find out by a little experimenting. Yeah, but you need to be good at hearing not-so-big differences fast, which I'm unfortunately not. By the way, in my room it was well worth the effort to open the TV and remove the...

Other speakers in room
Hello, have a small question for you all: As we all know, having passive speakers in your listening room is bad for the sound quality. What I wonder is if the effect is additive, i.e. the more passive speakers you add, the worse it will get. Or is it rather the first passive speaker that will make t...

It turns out that I'm going to move to a new apartment in June, so I won't bother experimenting with placement before that. But then I'll definitely provide you with a drawing and ask for advice for where to put my system. Fortunately, the new apartment is without plaster walls, though it is smaller...

Thanks for your tips, I've now tried some of them, without luck though. I think my main problem is simply that I get tense when I'm about to test something, and can't concentrate. Being in another room is a good trick, but it doesn't help me if I'm thinking about that it's a test. Well well, someday...

Wow, you can't be making much an hour considering the price then.lejonklou wrote: A Slipsik takes one working day to build, fine tune and check with music.

Thank you for the welcoming and for yor reply! Interesting points, and too bad there is no easy way to know how to make your room acoustically better. Maybe I should move the books I have in the kitchen into the living room though... I think my room may be pretty bad, very "boomy" with both plaster ...

How to learn tunedem?
I have tried to learn tunedem several times, but always failed to hear any differences. I have read the texts on tunedem on this and other sites, and I have been instructed ones by my dealer. No help. Is there anybody who has any tips on how I could learn tunedem? I would really have something that ...

Installation/acoustics
Here, you write that when you do installations you improve room acoustics. Can you tell us something about how you do that, or is that a "business secret"?
