I don't think that tunefulness is a function of accuracy of pitch reproduction, except in a few cases. Because some products that are not very tuneful can't in any way be shown to alter the pitch of what they reproduce. Most likely, both tweak A and tweak B will result in a less tuneful amplifier. ...

Hi Vic, re: the last modification to the Klout - "Capacitor added to Transformer connector on main board to improve the Klout's immunity to electromagnetic emissions. This improved the sound quality. My torque driver starts at .5Nm. Ok for for most things but the armboard at .3-.4Nm is a bit too low for it. I was thinking of using the .5Nm setting and then easing back a touch (1/16 of a turn?). Mike Mike, I wouldn't. There is always some small amount of variation in the accuracy of torque drive...

Good luck and it would be good to know how you get on at House of Linn. Might be worth a visit to their Komri room if they still have it - not many places you can hear a £100,000s worth of Komri's fully aktiv with Klimax Solo's etc. Yes, they do and have remodelled it over the Christmas period, so ...

Thirty years on it is refreshing to know that we are still discovering new musical vistas. Yes and imagine what 30 years on DS technology AND 30 more on vinyl will bring! Yep, I don't think we are anywhere near the end of the trail with either of these, yet. I think Linn will continue to astound us...

Re: Hierarchy of LP12 components

Therefore a Cirkus/Keel/Akito/Adikt should outperform an Cirkus/Ekos SE/Akiva. Also, not sure where the plinth, Trampolin and table or rack fit in the list, but presume before the arm and cartridge??? :? Hi Charlie, I think I made a very similar suggestion in a thread when the Keel first appeared a...

Great post Tom. I too was amazed at reading "yes the felt mat is more musical but that alone does not make it better" That's where I've been going wrong.

After almost 30 years of owning Linn equipment I'd forgotten that this kind of thinking was still prevalent. Silly me.

Hmmm. Honestly don't know. I've never come across these and I'm sure that Linn only list one type of banana in their spares list, which I would expect to be the aluminium one. Perhaps ThomasOK will advise?

The obvious question for me is, "where did you get them from?"

They certainly don't look like Linn bananas to me.

can you have a look in your Documents folder on the Nokia and see if Leia has dumped a log-file there? If so, there may be some useful info for Axel in there.
