Re: Klångedang T1
The Legendary Klångedang T1 still for sale :) In worst case I'll also consider shipping. Most sensitive in that case would be the hardwired filters but I could probably find some really good packing for these. Send me a PM if you're interested.

Klångedang T1 *not for sale*
A very affordable pair of Klångedang T1, the sensational loudspeaker, well know among the Lejonklou parish. This pair comes fully equipped with original stands and in birch wood, external SHW filter. Good condition overall, just some really minor cosmetic defects. Price 16.900SEK (1650 euros) Almost...

Refurbished Nait 1 (Class A) vs Naim-serviced Nait 5i below. The Nait 1 only arrived today, so it might not have been used much since the work on it a month or so ago. I'm having to use a tiny Din-to-RCA adaptor cos I have Urika. It's not the 'supposedly' superior red LED earlier version. The 5i ha...

Re: DMM mastered vinyls?
After some research about the available european cutting studios in nowadays vinyl production I came to the conclusion that A LOT (50% ?) of vinyl mastering actually is done with DMM technique. I chose lacquer for my own release tho since I seem to prefer those discs.

Re: Naim speakers with Linn electronics
I have some experience with both options and must say naim electronics with linn speakers just seems to be the safer bet. You really need to try for yourself to know I'm afraid. Linn Majik 109 are very good speakers and outperformed naim allaes even with naim electronics in my old room (loved that c...

Re: Playground for practical listening exercices
Thanks. Yes is about time to investigate the difference in musical quality between 33.3 and 45 rpm. I found a different artist with the same record label, also a LP and 12" 45 rpm with two selected songs from the LP. The songs are the same extended versions (8-9min) both on 33.3 and 45 rpm, cut and ...

Re: Playground for practical listening exercices
Here is a comparison with the same track 33.3rpm vs 45rpm. Track was chosen because it was the best example in my collection of the same track cut at different speed. Both 12" discs released about the same time, one a double LP 33.3rpm one a 45rpm 12" with 2 chosen tracks per side taken from the LP ...

Re: DMM mastered vinyls?
Ok, thats certainly interesting findings! One of my favorite producers used to cut lacquers for several years in the 90's. I always wondered why he cut his own productions maxi 12" singles in 33rpm while 45rpm certainly was standard for that format and genre. I should try to find some tunes for a cr...

Re: DMM mastered vinyls?
Great! I'm about to arrange a 7" 45rpm "indie" release. Now I know I'm going for a lacquer cut! If anyone happen to know about someone who cut exceptional lacquers please let me know :-)

Re: DMM mastered vinyls?
Thanks for your input! I got this answer from a european pressing plant For a 7inch a DMM is actually perfect as there's less innergroove distortion towards the center of the record. A 7inch is actually cut on the 'worst part' of the record, when cut in DMM the quality is better. A lacquer is softer...

Re: Tundra 2.2 vs Linn C4200/D and KCT/D
In the long run I know that the only thing worth reaching for via recorded music is the common bond we have as humans. This bond of human emotion (experience through living) told by musicians through their music is the real "gold". That is what we all should be digging for. Happy hunting. :-) +111 ...

Re: Tundra 2.2 vs Linn C4200/D and KCT/D
Interesting to read your experiences Efraim. So, you felt sea sick with KK-1st clip, but still preferred it - is that right? Interesting clips too Charlie1 :-) Yes I think KK first is better. The difference is quite radical from the first clip to the other so I guess that's why I got this sea sick ...

Re: Tundra 2.2 vs Linn C4200/D and KCT/D
Interesting comparison between Radikal or KK first. I started listening to Radikal first and then KK first, even after a couple of times I felt a bit sea sick when the KK first clips start. My understanding of the musical time signature is lagging behind, music is not really grounded. In the end I m...

DMM mastered vinyls?
I do not own any DMM mastered vinyls that I know of. How about you, are they more musical or worse you think? The cutting lathe for DMM engraves the audio signal directly onto a copper-plated master disc, instead of engraving the groove into a lacquer-coated aluminum disc. - https://en.wikipedia.org...

I also have the Lyra SPT cleaning fluid with mixed feelings. It improves the sound quite a bit, it sounds richer and smoother afterwards I think but musically a little worse (with Krystal). After a few more records it sounds really good again and still some of that improvement in sound left. I don't...

Re: Small floorstanding speakers?
Another option might be Naim Ovator S-400. I can not recommend Naim Ovators. Listening to piano music with its bigger brother S-600 I heard distortions of the BMR driver. I do not know whether it was a faulty driver or a general issue with these speakers. At least with my former Naim SBLs there was...

Re: Small floorstanding speakers?
I believe Klångadang T1 is your best option. It's very, very difficult to get something as musical as M109 but better bass. I'm afraid you'll be very disapointed when you start audition. Another option might be Naim Ovator S-400. (Of course JBL has a lot of followers on this forum). Don't sell your ...

Hello and welcome, I can't help you with your DIY mission but I would like to present the method that is the foundation for the discussions on this forum and also in our opinion the best way judging better from worse in a quick listening test. Re: Normal Yggdrasil (& other Harmoni questions)
Which shelf would give you the best installaion in your home? For example, If you feel that 12cm risers would look a lot better than 15cm I think you should go for 12cm. If you can get a even better arrangement (incl. stacking, cable dressing, power distribution) with 5 shelf than 4 I think you shou...

Ok, thanks! Much appreciated. When optimizing Adikt I did the torque with the Ekos SE still mounted since it was so low force. Would you say it's ok to experiment between 0.4-0.6 range with the turntable still on the wallshelf or is it mandatory to remove the arm from the LP12? It seems like pretty ...
