Naim Hiline with Linn connectors?

Hi! When I got my Uphorik I had to modify my rca-din naim hilne to fit the Uphorik outputs wich are placed far apart. The work was done poorly (by professional) and I feel I have to do something about it sooner or later. The hiline is fitted with WBT nextgen rca connectors, either I get it restored ...

LP12 set up jig

I want to be able to make simple adjustments to my LP12 by myself. Anyone with advice how I can get a appropriate set up jig? Low cost options are most welcome, DIY work included.

I'm borrowing this thread, hope you don't mind.

With Radikal you get more space inside the LP12. Have anyone tried to turn the p-clip 180 degres to give the T-kable less stress with good result, or is it better to have it the traditional way? Is the p-clip torque very important?

The torque wrench was listed as a brand new in box, but when received it looked more like a really good condition used one. On the box there was a date on the box "Aug 2007". Does this device get old and in need for re-calibration with age or how do they work? Do they wear and get unreliable with ag...

Do you have an LP12 Efraim?
Yes, full spec Rad/D Keel EkosSE with Adikt and Uphorik. I use Naim amps Nac 52/52PS + Nap 110, all recently serviced at Naim factory.

I got myself a torque screwdriver of the type recommended by ThomasOK, SR Cal-36/4.

I've been playing with torque values on my M109 today and have come to the result that 1,4nm is best. Does this make sense to you guys?

Hi Naim unitiserve isn't really a proper streamer, it is more like a rip nas with digital output, could be used as source connected to a dac. I don't think this solution is very good, not for the money involved. The new streamers Naim NDX and the little brother ND5 XS is another story, they are real...

I have not reported back for a while but I have done some tests with my 109’s. First regarding the extra dampening, I have still not found additional dampening to the back of port to improve performance, I have tried different thickness of polyfill but still prefer without. I have also come to the c...

Thanks for your follow up, interesting! I would absolutely be interested to see some pictures as well. Linnofil: I did buy two pairs of Ninka tweeters and selected the two best ones for my Kans. In my room the 109's perform best 7,8cm from back wall. I had a hard time finding the optimal placement and had mine around 19cm at first. It was when I got a proper installation by my dealer he found that they should be much closer to back wall than I had been experimenting with. I have a door open...

I love the dynamik for Radikal aswell, I use it without Urika. It is like the definition of 'no brainer' in the world of Linn. I'm with ThomasOK about the stunning bass improvement, more of the real 'grunt' in basslines, but of course everything is better. Jajo also say it very good: "sounds in the ...

Thanks lejonklou, that's the explanation I needed, I wasn't really clear about what differ XLR and RCA version. But why do Linn make xlr version T.kable then?

Does this mean it is possible to make balanced interconnects with rca connectors, why hasn't this been done in the first place?

Is balanced XLR T.kable better than regular version with phono connectors? If used with phonostage which can take both, like uphorik.

Garrard Technics or something else?

I need a workhorse turntable to be used at soundsystem dances, the obvious choice so far has been Technics SL-1200. I'm not interesting in mixing tracks between 2 decks, all I need is one deck and be able to change records on the fly, it also has to work in a dance hall with something like 4x18" hor...

Lejonklou,

Have you figured out how to damping of the port securely? Would be interesting to hear how you did it. What kind of damping did you use?
