Anyone tried the SR torque tool with Krystal, which range is safe and sound with this materials? Other setup tips with the three mount design?

Re: Tiger Paw Wall Shelf

Thanks! It's a great thing with a really good wallshelf available! I have as I said an Audiotech which seems very similar to yours, can you say something about similarities and differences between the two? I also wonder if you could add something about different walls. I used to have mine on concret...

Re: Linn Krystal

I've got the Krystal with Uphorik for some time now, did the upgrade from Adikt. I'm really happy with it but it the LP12 was "serviced" at the same time, and later on I did that again myself with torque tool (which feels necessary if you got used to that). So the comparison with Adikt is a bit diff...

Re: Tiger Paw Wall Shelf

Thanks for the report! So if replace my original Audiotech wall shelf with a Tiger Paw I'll get a significant improvement, or should I just get the shelf? Have you tried any different combinations, three or four spikes, thick och thin shelf, which sound better?

Re: Lejonklou at RMAF 2016 (Rocky Mountain Audio Fest

I must say that during the last two years I have met quite a few of really dedicated young people that are 'all in' for headphones when it comes to music reproduction. My prejudices still fools me (I must change now) that these people will start discussing "Beats" (the brand) or the latest Sennheise...

Re: Emotion in Music

You should try Tundra 2A next yourself : ) And you should try Sagatun Monos! They are a whole different animal. I find the Sagatun 1.1 and the KK very close with different strengths and weaknesses (also assuming it is a good KK) but the Sagatun Mono 1.1s blow both out of the water. They really outd...

Re: Emotion in Music

...plays music with ease or ’lightness of touch’. An amazingly well-oiled music machine. I have never got this kind of impression from a power amp before, the musical balance is also very ’right’. High praise indeed! That should put a smile on Fredrik's face. You should try Tundra 2A next yourself ...

Re: Emotion in Music

Now I had Sagatun, Tundra 2A and Klimax Kontrol at home for some time, I used to own a Tundra 2 before. Out of these four amps I regard Tundra 2A as the pearl of the lot. It has an amazing way of eliminating ’room sound’ and ’box sound’. The whole frequency range is under total control but plays mus...

Re: Emotion in Music

My original nait is the one in the middle with green led and white logo. The second best original was the red led with yellow logo. The youngest with bright white logo and green led (to left) sounded different and not as good, the legend says that the earlier ones was the best. On the inside you can...

Re: Emotion in Music

Some time ago I got the opportunity to try my Klimax Kontrol against another one to rule out if there was any problems with it. It is now clear that there is nothing wrong with my Kontrol (thanks Music Lover). So if the Nait works so incredibly good in my system, let's find the best one I thought. h...

Re: The most empowering tool

Sorry, I was little short. What I meant was just, don't forget source first as it's the most powerful way to obtain a truly great performing system. When it comes to "what tune dem is all about", you must include source first. Nice post otherwise, I agree with you!

Wow, this is exiting. I used to think uphorik was the best thing since sliced bread (as they say) and "impossible" to beat.

Re: Emotion in Music

Yes, when I first connected Sagatun (no comparison) I was thrilled! It was after a day when I did the A/B comparisons with KK that I came to the conclusions that KK was better. I must investigate this KK a bit further, and also Sagatun. Maybe it's something with the LP12? To me, it's not totally unl...

Re: Emotion in Music

I was listening to some records today and this tune really got me in the zone, and I came to think that I should record that. No comparison in this post, I'll only ask; can you feel it? https://www.dropbox.com/s/e8ge5ju0mrn3uw4/DR0000_0177.wav?dl=0 The nait is just so pure, like a pearl, but wicked!...

Re: Emotion in Music

Well, I did compare KK to Sagatun which I had at home for 2 days. After that I came to the conclusion that Klimax Kontrol was the better preamp. Another weekend I had Tundra 2A at home to compare to my Tundra 2, and I really liked the 2A but the 2 didn't sound broken in comparison. The pair of silve...

Re: Emotion in Music

Here is some recordings, carefully made comparison between my 'Klimax Kontrol/1/D/Tundra 2' VS. 'Naim Nait 1'. Sorry but the files is large, about 60MB, I always record in 24/96 and I don't know how make them smaller without messing around too much. The nait is 30 years old and 100% original, it cri...

Re: Emotion in Music

Ok I didn't know Exposure still existed actually, wasn't that a brand among the flatearth community back in the day also? They seemed to have a hard time keeping up with Linn and Naim back then, you seldom hear about them? Personally I have faith in Lejonklou, I think I need Sagatun Monos and Tundra...

Re: Emotion in Music

Actually I tried the Sagatun but it didn't really cut it as I preferred Klimax Kontrol. Tundra 2A on the other hand is very special IMHO, it's the kind of amp that vitalize the room, I promise your household plants will look stunning if you get a T2A :-) Sagatun Monos was also fantastic when I heard...

Re: Emotion in Music

If you want to experience what I describe I sugget you go to London tomorrow 16th of April and go to the dance with the mighty JAH SHAKA sound system, try to be there well into the session as it build up and the last tune is always special. I guess it will be a quite difficult acclimatization for yo...
