You never know, Spotify HiFi might actually sound worse on Kalla. There doesn’t seem to be a fixed relationship between quality and bit rate/depth any more.

I don’t use Roon sorry. Have you lined up a Källa demo for yourself? That’s the only way you can answer the myriad of questions you ask. What others find may not apply in your particular circumstances.

A further update. Lip sync is still an issue but, interestingly, it depends on the picture format. It seems that only Dolby Vision streams have the sound ahead of picture issue. HDR steams are fine. Herman you need to disable the volume lock on the Sagatuns. See the manual for what button to press when you restart. Not at home so can’t tell you which button, sorry.

The Airplay output isn’t necessarily built into the app. To send any output playing on your device to Airplay, pull down from top right, then click on the triangle icon in the top right box. You should then see a list of devices to choose from which includes Lejonklou.

There’s MConnect Lite, which is free but has adverts and MConnect which is paid for so no adverts. Foobar2000 is free and will also do the job. Try comparing that to MConnect Lite and see which you prefer.

Herman, you seem to be expecting Källa to be visible from a non Apple device. Is this correct? You must Airplay to Källa from an Apple device.

I just checked and Spotify Volume normalisation was on. So I will need to reevaluate against Qobuz.

Can I suggest ( if not somewhere already) a page listing all recommended settings for Spotify, Qobuz, foobar2000 and MConnect? I think this would be a great help to everybody.

The sync is better but still not perfect. I’ve tried removing calibration completely a while ago but will give it another try later.
