*Sold* Linn LP12 Plinth in Cherry

Linn Cherry LP12 Plinth bought from UK dealership. Very good condition. Front lid feet have made small marks where they touch the plinth. There is also a very small scratch on one side, approx 3-4mm long. £150 + P&P or collection from Gloucestershire http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk92/telemouse...

Was the KCT warmed up Flatcoat? And Tundra for that matter? Would like to compare again myself with fully warmed up amps, although I am sure Tundra is better than Akurate. It would just be nice to be certain in my own mind where it slots in between Linn amps.

Yep, that's it. Let us know how you get on if you try it. I seem to recall you are in Sweden. Fredrik used to sell some extension blocks that he found were very good. Going back a bit now though, but you could ask for details. Here's an old thread, if you're bored... http://www.lejonklou.com/forum/v...

Do you mean electrical distribution board (i.e. something an electrician would fit)? If you search the forum there are previous threads and comments. To best of my memory, nothing betters the Linn ones in terms of musicality. ThomasOK has previously recommended the Vidar burn-in machine. I've sent s...

Embarrassed to say I jumped to a conclusion last night and got it wrong. Should have checked more thoroughly before wanted to jabber about it to everyone. Isoblue is more musical to my ears. Hutter still sounds better. I must say I like the Hutter and could happily live with it. Both sound and music...

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into this thread, another rack appears. But good news! Initial tune dems suggest this is a winner, at least with the Radikal. I think the LP12 too, but it was not so decisive and I need to check more - always fiddly with the LP12. The Radikal is so great ...

I have updated the avforums thread, but please can you guys who've heard it please cut and paste your comments into there? The link is on the previous page or maybe two back. Cheers. I wanted two 3200's for my ninkas, but this is probably a much better bet. Done. I know you're located in the north ...

Re: My thoughts on Tundra

After an hour or two listening and re-discovering my music collection again (with great pleasure I might add), I left the amp on overnight, very pleased with what I'd heard and confident it was way better than the 4200s. Interesting post ocoro02, especially that passive Tundra is better than aktiv ...

Busy day. Writing now whilst thoughts are still fresh. Just like to say first of all that it was really good to finally meet Fredrik after all this time communicating electronically. Hopefully, next time things will be less rushed. The Tundra is very very good indeed. Hard to be sure of my expectati...

Was able to hear Tundra at home briefly. It was late though, so had to keep the volume right down. Definitely more tuneful and easier to follow the music than my single amped, single-wired 4200/D. Music was clearly more flowing in a way that reminded me of the benefits of KK1 over Kikkin, i.e. more ...

Hi Sammy and welcome! Most of your comments align with my idea of tune dem, although the ‘notes stopping and starting quicker’ and being ‘more punchy and dynamic’ sit outside tune dem for me. That is not to say those two elements cannot accompany an improvement, when judged via tune method. It is ju...

Great version of 'Crying' by Ren Harvieu on radio, starts 1hr 18mins in:- http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/b01fqrnz Sorry, but it was spine tingling 'live', in the car :) ...might be OK on a DS player, but not my laptop :( She has a great voice though. Re: AKG K 420 headphones

Thanks Charlie! I have a pair of Grado 60 that i really like, bought them back in ... 2002 i think(!). I actually liked the K412P better. In the AKG (absolute bargain) range today, what would be your choice? I only have the K24Ps and K420s. They are pretty close performance wise. The former being m...

Re: Tundra

I compare it with a pair of Solos a friend kindly lent me for three weeks. Tundra is better. It really brings out the sense of the music. There has been a few discussion about Tundra giving a signature to the sound but if that´s true it is as well valid for the Klimax amps. Musical wise Tundra is b...

Linn Studio Numerik

'So' was recently on BBCs 'Classic Albums' series. I enjoyed it, but I suspect you need to be a bit of a fan of the album as it was quite 'steady' otherwise. Very insightful though. Anyway, led me to digging out Gabriel's follow up 'Us', featuing same musicians and producer. Reading the sleeve notes...

Very neat - I like it. Now the logo is there, the two LEDs don't look strange. In fact, I rather like the look of two LEDs instead of just one, as is common.

Can't really see the front finish as it is too dark, even though the two photos look similar exposure.

I had a feeling this section had seen a lot more activity of late. Reading a thread on the Linn forum, it would appear there are new restrictions placed on the 'For Sale' section of Pink Fish Media which *might* explain this. Apparently, PFM were subject to some scams and are trying to limit this by...

I think Thomas posted this on the Linn forum, not here, but I have a record of approximately 0.4Nm for both the circuit board and dynamik. I would start off there and fine tune by ear.
