Troika *Sold*
I have a Troika that (according to Fredrik) needs to be rebuilt. I have now realized that this will never happen as long as I have it, so if anyone is interested, I'll be happy to sell it. Don't know what a reasonable price would be though?

Not to pour water on your parade, but would'nt a thicker mat change the vertical tracking angle of the tonearm/cartridge combo? Of course it does! Not to the extent that it absolutely needs adjustment though, I changed mat the other week, and the thinner one was considerably better although it chan...

Re: isobarik
I've heard active Kabers, Keltiks and passive Akurates (driven by Klimax amps). The best sound I've heard of all these are my aktiv Isobariks [...] Thank you Chris! You just saved me a lot of hasstle selling my Briks! From now on, I will blame every flaw in my system (and there are flaws, believe m...

Re: sneaky
All this is false economy the sneaky will be much better, and has a power amp included. Can you not find a second hand sneaky? Should not be too difficult: http://www.lejonklou.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=567 :) Let me add that I think anthony is right here, before the DS no one managed to produce a ...

MC:s are so expensive to run that I probably would not do it. If I did use it I would not get a new one before I had Radikal, Ekos and Keel. Another thing is that the performance of the latest version of Slipsik is so good that I have stopped considering MC at all. How does you LP12 look and what ph...

The best NAS and HDD for a DS
This thread have been missing for a while now. When we get to a point where we can agree on some general recommendations we can edit it and make it a sticky. Apart from sound quality I think that we should try to cover; reliability, noise level, price and ease of use. Music lover? Linnofil? I know y...

Re: I need guidance from all you good people, please?
Hi Lizzy, and Welcome to the forum! :) Now, here's the issue, most of my hard earned cash will go on the source, so will my old Classik cut it with a set-up like Majic/Akurtate DS with Kikkin pre-amp, or is there no point whatsoever, and I'll have to buy a suitable Amp? I don't see any point in keep...

As you might know, my current setup is LP12 (Keel/Ekos2/Adikt) - Slipsik Kikkin - 4xLK100 - active Isobarik. About a year ago (or is it two? God, I'm getting old!) I had a pair of Ninkas driven active by a 5125. It's impossible to compare since everything else in the system has changed since then, b...

Myself, I try to balance between tune dem and "nice sound" I don't understand - what's wrong in saying this? ...so long as any comparisons are made on the forum using Tune Method and this forms the centre of the post. Many members decide to let other factors influence what they actually purchase in...

Myself, I try to balance between tune dem and "nice sound". So I am not sure I would prefer the same setup as you do. Welcome here Bill!
