Davaar 30 can be dangerous on any DS! Linn have officially withdrawn 29 and 30 due to a slight risk of completely "bricking" your DS! Yes. With an analogue source there is an "Analogue Direct" mode (can't remember the exact name) which is an analogue path throughout the KDSM. However, it (obviously) doesn't then allow SPACE or EXAKT.

I'd strongly recommend using a cabled connection into the room. Worth thinking outside of the box though. You may find that a 20m link internally could be replaced by a 5m cable running outside of the house using exterior grade cable.

I did that in several cases myself and it was much easier.

When you refer to "different circuit designs" do you mean different physical layouts of the same logical circuit?

I haven't tried. I would expect it to give an "Invalid firmware" error or something, similar to what happens if you try to put ADS firmware onto a KDS, or KDS/1 firmware on a KDS/0.
