Re: Volumio.
It didn't make any difference. Guess this is a different problem.
Re: Volumio.
I got it all installed successfully, but no change in behaviour. Using a 3rd party control app only gets a second of sound before it stops. I've got my nas in the volumio library, and use it that way. I have the limitations of not skipping tracks or pressing pause without it all stopping. It does se...
Re: Volumio.
There's a new version on the website. It has Qobuz and Tidal natively. This should have the newest kernel?
Re: Volumio.
Thanks. That all looks doable.
Re: Volumio.
That sounds great. I have lots of problems, and have figured out what not to do, to get stable playback. Reading what you've done to get it stable, I'm quite lost as to what to do. Could you list a step by step method to achieve it? I suppose sharing the end result as an installation image would be ...

Re: General discussion about HAKAI
Are people using Volumio as just a renderer (controlling it from another app, like Lumin, Bubble etc), as opposed to it finding the music to play? I've just put a Hakai together and going through the find the library stage. It sees my Synology NAS, but not the shares. I tried manually connecting wit...

Re: Source HAKAI components Cross-Country
I'm having trouble sourcing the Deltaco Sata cable. I'm in New Zealand. Can someone direct me to a site that would ship here?

Re: HAKAI
It seems the big challenge in sourcing the components is the motherboard. I've been looking around and have found some of the n3150n-d3v in far away places that don't ship outside their country. I'm in New Zealand, so I'm far away anyway. How have people been going sourcing a motherboard?

Re: Lejonklou Boazu Integrated Amp
yes and no. It is on for two weeks now but only playing rom time to time, in average 1h per day. I have asked that in the beginning but so far there has been no estimation of how long it will take I think a couple hundred hours is when it's mostly there. well it is and always has been in the lowest...

Re: Lejonklou Boazu Integrated Amp
Would I be correct in assuming the Boazu is a brand new unit? If so, it wouldn't be run in, so won't be at it's potential. One attribute of any piece of equipment that's not run in, is less bass than what it's capable of. This isn't particular to the Boazu, but to all pieces of audio equipment. As f...

Re: JBL 3677
Yes, I started with the phase not inverted, and that has less bass. I had the same issue with the 242's. I'm going back to not using the crossover, just the L/R feed "helping" the 3677's. The crossover setup was muddying the middle, losing some spark and dynamics. The helping setup just adds some do...
Re: JBL 3677
Been playing some more. Perhaps better crossing over the K345 in the Kisto with the 3677's, I hadn't tried it with the phase inversion. The Kisto's analogue crossover is only at 120Hz. I'm assuming I need the phase inversion to get the phase relationship correct because the sub has group delay as it...
Re: JBL 3677
New 3677 owner here. I've only had them hooked up for a couple of days, but really like them. So musical and involving! They're only on the floor, no stands yet. I've got 3 of them for the front of a theatre system, and music. Just started playing with the subwoofer configuration. I've got a K345 an...
Re: JBL 4645C
I was looking at the JBL subs, and trying to work out the differences between the models. This is the top one, is there much difference to the lower models? The specs don't give away much.
What crossover solution are you going to be using?

Re: JBL 3677
This makes me wonder if any of the JBL surround speakers have the same magic as the 3677. Could they be used in a small system as bookshelf speakers?
