Re: DS killer

Maybe this thread could be fused with this one (or vice versa), since they're about the same subject matter?

http://www.lejonklou.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2719

It would be nice to have all comments and thoughts in one thread.
Just a thought.

Looks good, nice work!

It's nice to read German, been a long time since last time. Too bad my skills have deteriorated significantly since school :-)

Re: Tundra Mono 2 in a Cinema?

Hi jajo,

Well, I'll be following this with interest, to be sure.
Thanks for posting!

On a personal note, watching movies has never been as much fun, and involving, as with a pair of Monos!

Re: Monos (Sagatun & Tundra) - questions after upgrade

Hi DelNaja! That a sudden one step difference can be corrected at a decade is not automatic, but due to the fact that there is a pause there. So if the volume climbs rapidly and you reach a decade, you can release the button just before it continues to climb. In that pause for the leading unit, the...

Re: Monos (Sagatun & Tundra) - questions after upgrade

I, too, have had issues with the volume sync on my Sagatun Monos, although they are not related to an upgrade (I have not upgraded to 1.1 yet). It's been like that since new. Sometimes, hard to say how frequently but maybe once every two months, the volume gets out of sync. When that happens, the on...

Re: Harmonihyllan

Thanks for sharing with us. That's a beautiful looking and quite different from the 'norm' looking rack. It's interesting to hear that racks 'settle', I'm not sure that many people would even be aware of that. Like you mentioned though, it's probably the tensioning affected by transportation. I hav...

Re: Harmonihyllan

Very nice - thanks for posting. Are they standard height risers? The shelf height doesn't look quite as tall as in the pics on the harmoni site: http://www.harmonihyllan.se/yggdrasil.html I'm trying to work out if that's from the different view angle, or a trick of the colours with the white shelve...

Re: Harmonihyllan

Hi all, I got my new Harmonihyllan rack yesterday and thought I'd post a couple of pictures and share some thoughts with you. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/n56sa5d9hyu9ejw/AAAwLpb_GCgD_H50Vsx_CoA6a?dl=0 It's the new rack called Yggdrasil. Well, actually it's not new per se, it's been around for some ye...

Re: linn majik cd service

I have now listen to my cdplayer since it returned from Linn Scotland a month ago and the problem is still there. The frustration is big and I have contacted my Linn retailer and Im wating for an answer from him. Very frustrating, indeed. Makes you wonder if they tested the unit by ear before shipp...

Re: Lejonklou Tundra 2 power amplifier

Any indication on the magnitude of improvement? I have repeatedly been comparing against my reference Tundra 1.2, serial number 001, so I know exactly what each part of the upgrade does. Actually I wish I could demonstrate them one by one! The first brings weight and solidity to the music. As if it...

Music Lover, thank you for reporting on this upgrade! I appreciate it and am thinking of upgrading too.

Regarding firmware compatibility, why not ask Linn about it directly?

Re: linn majik cd service

I did send my cdplayer to Linn again and I have got a mail from them, they agree that unit doesn't sound as good as th reference unit. They have replaced all major components on the analogue output stage - DAC, opamps, mute FETs, static protection diodes. That's nice to hear! I hope it sounds bette...

Re: Lejonklou DS player

Thank you, Fredrik. Interesting thoughts! The only medicine that I can think of against this is to limit the versatility even further: It works only with the peripherals that we have tested and approved. And new streaming media services are then not likely to be implemented. Maybe they are not of mu...

Re: Lejonklou DS player

So it's going to be a hard sell convincing more than a few crazy guys to buy something that likely going to be less user friendly and in many ways limited regarding functionality. To produce the player is also a challenge as you going to face issues with vendors that change IC's&processors affectin...

Re: Exakt

Anders at Tonläget favours Exakt system in most cases. One big reason for this is probably that he has worked alot with setting up his different ekakt systems. And we all know how much attention he put into details. You could talk to him for som pointers if you`re interested. I know it is tricky to...

Re: New forum

I just visited the forum on my Samsung Galaxy S4. I don't like the changes at all. The advantage of not needing to zoom or flip the device is gone, all text is too tiny to look at.

This was a change for the worse, IMHO.

Re: Opinions on the new LEJONKLOU website

However, I think it might be a good idea to change the photo at the top. I imagine the idea is to look serious but I think you might have pushed the envelope a bit too far on this one. I see ThomasOK's point about the picture. However, I, for one, thought the pic was cool. I saw determination in th...
