Re: correct myself

What has taken me a lot of time is to learn how to make accurate decisions fast . If I make one wrong decision when working on a prototype, it can set me off on an unfruitful and very time consuming track until I finally discover the original mistake. I have done that more than once, so I've become...

So Fredrik, do you think the non dynamic c2250 could replace my klout(s)? Im using a passive system, but my goal is to reach aktiv in the future. I have the chance to get 2xc2250 cheaply, but may be better to put a bit more on it and get an used 4200. What do you think guys? Regards and Happy new y...

Hi HCL, the ADS is performing well, and the ADS is better but the gap is small. The size of the gap corresponds not to really to the difference in pricing. thx for help johannes Hi Johannes, I think this is true about a lot of things in life, to achieve a small improvement, requires an unproportion...

Dont mix an lk140 with majik amps, just use 6 channels for now. Akurate 4200 would be better, the bass is power hungry!

kds

The KDS did receive an upgrade with the Dynamik, and for some Cara was considered better.

I have seen walnut 242, they look good, but its all personal taste.
The new stands are an improvement as well.

Re: Green issues

I think more concerning is the high wattage drawn in standby mode. The Artikulat 350A is quoted at 49, not sure if thats each! I think this is being addressed in newer models. Do you have any ideas of how it's being addressed :?: All I know is the new Akurate range has much lower standby consumptio...

Thanks for the story, Linnie! Depending on how many amps you're driving them with and whether you intend to go aktiv, I would stop at biwiring passive 242's. One pair for the pod (connected to the treble input) and one pair for the basses (connected to the upper bass). When optimally soldered, it s...

Minge
Majik is excellent, think I would bypass Lingo2 and wait to get a Radikal unless you get a "cheapy" Lingo 2

Would be great to know what you think. Is this for yourself? This will be new demo Akurate system in my shop. Both 242 and 212 fully Aktiv. The best part, that my workplace is two floors down from my apartment, so I listen music on various Linn systems. I've had Aktiv 242s in my personal system, bu...

And thanks to your post -now others have seen it too. Again, had no idea it existed. I have the old KK control commonly used by power lifters and in the constuction of large scale civil engineering projects. I have to be careful not to casually throw it on the bed or else risk it collapsing the bed...

Re: Is really Twin better than 2200/D?

In my quest for Solos, I got some PMs from trusted members that state Late Twin being better than 2200/D, but I have compared 2 or 3 200Wamps with dynamik (older upgraded and MY2010) with 2 Twins - one MY2010. Even if the newest Twin was a bit, just a bit better than the older Twin chakra - all 200...

350

Having installed many 350s they are no more difficult than the 242s, I dont think 1/10 of mm accuracy is necessary, more impossible I would say!
Certainly within a few mm, but never left an installation unhappy.

Dear Anthony, Thanks a lot. The problem is that is an old tunebox that only have two aktive ( or two mono pairs) cards inside. I have installed the K solos driving the treble and the KCTs (conecting xlr (out) first KCT to phono (in) second KCT) to the mid/bass and it sounds wonderful. I had 2200+42...
