The JBL's are certainly more rockin, all the instruments and vocals support each other. The ATC's sound like separate pieces that don't connect. Do you need a Tundra to make the JBL's great, or would a Linn Akurate amp be sufficient?

That's an interesting comment about the hierarchy of components in the power strip. Preamp , then source, then power amp. So source first doesn't apply to this?

You have your AV amp using the unity gain option. Does it get most of the sonic benefits of the other inputs, even thought the volume is being done in the AV amp?
