Tony, if you edit your post (the pen symbol), mark the entire address you have posted and then press the image button just above the text field, the forum will show the picture instead of a link that you need to click on. That's what I did with your 3 posts from 2024-03-06 above. What the image butt...

Re: Lejonklou Boazu Integrated Amp
Hello tby! The short answer is: No, not to 2.0. But there will hopefully be an upgrade available from the current version 1.3 to version 1.x (x being a higher number than 3). The long answer is: Boazu 2 will, like Tundra Mono 3, be built and tuned in Sweden. That means a new case with integrated pil...

Ok, thanks!
Curious what creation you’ll end up with. I’d sure be happy to try it, just like your crimped copper bananas!

Re: Lejonklou Boazu Integrated Amp
Thank you both for your inputs! Sagatun, Kikkin, Superkikkin and Boazu all sound better after the volume indicator has faded out. This is because not only does the LED stop drawing current, the whole digital section including the clock is stopped and put to sleep. It doesn’t start again until either...

Re: Lejonklou Boazu Integrated Amp
Couldn’t the volume control be set up to max out at 100 whilst limiting the voltage output to ensure the amplifier stays within its optimal operating range? This is an interesting thought. The way it could be done is that a sensor checks the output stage, which is driving the loudspeakers, and as s...

Re: Lejonklou Boazu Integrated Amp
With the Tundra Mono 3 and their permanently lit LEDs, I would go one step further and have the Sagatun LEDs also light up in the color of the set volume. Do you mean that you would prefer that the volume indicator is permanently lit? Instead of fading out 3 seconds after the last volume change, as...

Re: Lejonklou Boazu Integrated Amp
Thank you all for your input! Much appreciated! Thanks also to Thomas for explaining the reason why a volume stop at 78 or 80 can become a problem for someone who hasn't learned of its existence (the story of the man who thought he needed more power). Even if just streaming on Källa, I sometimes lis...

Re: Lejonklou Boazu Integrated Amp
Thank you Pete! Boazu 2 is in the works. This time it will be made entirely in Sweden, which has required a lot of details to be redesigned. A while back I tested adding some extra features, just like I did when the original was designed. But this time I thought I’d do it smarter, so that there woul...

I am torn between A and B.
A feels tighter. B is very melodic but seems to smear the notes a bit. C smears them even more and I have trouble enjoying it.

Yes. You can expect the short wall to be more bass heavy, but perhaps not the same boom as before. Stay away from the corners if possible.

Re: Which App ? (Streaming + Local)
Yes that seems correct. It’s really simple to test whether the switch benefits or not, as you just have to pause the music and change the cables from either going through the switch or direct to Källa. Källa doesn’t mind the connection being temporarily broken, as there is no unnecessary traffic tak...

Re: Boazu vs Tundra 2.2 (with various preamps)
Hi Zee9! You get the “child protection” back if you reboot Boazu. So every time it starts up, you either leave it be - and then the max volume will be 78 - or you decide to override it by pressing VOL+ during the startup sequence (when it blinks red). As so few people read the manual these days, I w...

Thank you for sharing, u252agz!
Apple TV to Källa is addictive. Everyone I've spoken to that's tried it says they get sucked right in.
Sometimes I curse it, because I have work to do and just can't pull myself away.

Re: Boazu vs Tundra 2.2 (with various preamps)
I don't know exactly what you're experiencing, Zee9 and ljknewbie, but I'd like to point out a few things: 1. Most digital sources have an output of 2 Vrms, which makes the loudest volume setting on the preamp 78 when using one of my power amps (or the integrated amp Boazu). Volume 78 is two steps d...

Re: Is the Netgear GS 108 Safe?
I don’t really see the relevance of this thread. The subject line is misleading, as there is no vulnerability in the GS-108T that applies to how we use it; in a local area network where access to the internet is through a router. If you have a Netgear Prosafe router you might want to check whether y...

I suspect it will be difficult to find a second hand BJC Cat 6a, so why not order one directly from them in Seattle, Washington?
