Re: Majik LP 12 with Lejonklou

I understand your point and will in the near future get a brush and try it. I am very interested in keeping my Klyde as long as possible. :-)

Re: Majik LP 12 with Lejonklou

I will let the discwasher rest for now. I used a carbon brush many moons ago and just added static to my vinyl instead of removing it!

Re: WIJI's system

I have read a lot of your posts on the linn forum and has always liked your approach. From what I have read I guess this forum is a great place for you to be. To me hifi is all about getting as close as possible to what I experience when listening to a live performance. Music is blood, sweat and tea...

Re: The death of K400

I say go with the colour. It is easy to relate to and most people know that they have to listen before making up their mind about the quality of the cable. K200/Black and K200/Silver. K200B and K200S.

Re: Majik LP 12 with Lejonklou

Interesting. I have only used a brush a couple of times. Not on a day to day basis. I have noticed that a change of pickup make my old used records sound like new again. I have a brush, the discwasher d4 with cleaning fluid. Not a carbon fiber brush. I could start using it. :-)

Re: Majik LP 12 with Lejonklou

As I have posted some time ago: The Sondek is the main reason I enjoy listening to music at home. It is able to create the most direct contact to the performer you can imagine when playing analog recordings. Happy listening!

Re: Teenager from Indias jazz scene

There is something wrong with the pitch. I suspect some tempo correction has taken place.
That said no doubt about her skills but to me this could have been played by a computer and it would have made no difference. Maybe because I get no satisfaction from listening to this kind of music! :-)

I love, love, love it!!! What a focus and performance. Simple lowfi recordings even through digital media on the net has a rightness to them. I am absolutely going to share this with my fellow music teachers. :-)

Re: Back to Black

Having listened for a week now there is no doubt in my mind that the pair of Linn Black interconnect I use now is the best solution for me. The pair of Linn Silver I own makes me think that the bassist at the start of "I'm gonna sit right down and write myself a letter" from Paul McCartneys album "K...

Re: A Day in The Life

Life can be cruel sometimes. It can hit us all hard at times and I am sad to hear it.

If I made my last breath during a listening session I would die happy! I would then hope someone would take care and pick up the Klyde from the record before it wore out! :-)

I will for certain be dead long before it happens but what have you been reading lately to back up your statement. I do believe you but what started as a happy tread is now at risk of turning bad! ;-)

A Day in The Life

Title taken from The Beatles last track on Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band. I start at 06.30 where I get up to help the kids with breakfirst and send them to school. Then I do my shopping for the day in the nearby supermarket and finally when I get home around 09.00 I sit down and turn on my hi...

Re: How do you like your second system?

I tried to shift to cd when I was waiting for my new Klyde. It didn't work at all for me as replacement for my Sondek so I know the problem. That said I can enjoy my cheap ghettoblaster when listening to radio for a while.
Maybe it all comes down to what you expect when turning on your system!

Back to Black

In my old Linn system I have finally come to the point where I find my Linn Black interconnects the best choice for me. It was a tricky desicion to make but I will try to share some of my thoughts. I have two pairs of Linn Black interconnect. The one being clearly better than the other. I only have ...

I would end up buying B&O! If for no other reason than buying something made in my own country.

Re: Playtime is over, time for some serious questions!

I have been playing vinyl now for a couple of weeks just using my Linto coupled directly to my LK100 into Espeks. The improvement in sound quality is big. I clearly get a more direct feel of what is hidden in the groove. Much higher level of detail and much better micro dynamics. I have now discover...

Re: Performance with Linn sub's

I just want to express my relief. There are still sane people in the hifi industry and Fredrik is one of them. To hold on to this kind of thinking in a world dominated by higher, bigger, stronger is something to celebrate.
A tough job but someone's got to do it!
