I dont want to come over unfriendly but if you need a picture for what you ask for I am not sure if you might better consider a dealer to set up the Karousel for you.

Can someone please help me to understand how to directly have a picture in the thread. do I need to have a space somewhere where the picture is uploaded and I copy a link in?

Re: Forum issues are discussed here

On the other point of recent members, I think Fredrik has consistently handled this very well throughout the years. Not sure why it's been trickier of late. Thank you Charlie. Three reasons: 1. Corona has brought increased traffic and activity on a lot of forums. 2. I have been the sole moderator. ...

Re: Karousel

the side with the 1/4 hex bit fits into the screwdriver the other side is 3/8 square or an 1/4 square as the 20mm nut which you need for the top and the 21mm nut which you need for a bottom are only available as square connection - the direct fit nut with a 1/4 hex connection goes only up to 17mm

Re: upgrade path

@u252agz and markiteight, thank you for trying to help - I am aware of all stated. I use a qnap nas with an Intel 320 drive Blue Jeans Eternetcables all the way and an Netgear 108T switch. Dont get me wrong if you dont have an LP 12 you are most likely be happy with an ADS/3. I dont like DVC either ...

Re: upgrade path

no worries Eli7 I have the ADS for 2 years now which was replacing an Teac Esoteric X03. The Teac is Hifi/High End - detailed and fun but not musical. The ADS1 was better than the Teac with respect musicality but it sounded cold to me. Than I got it upgraded to the ADS3/Katalyst which was a good ste...

Tendaberry also got me into buying vinyl from US directly - I just ordered Bruce Springsteen Letter to you and others on Amazon Us - buy 3 pay 2 and one week after the order I have the LPs arrived today.

Re: upgrade path

now we come to text ;) I thought I should recommend to you right when you started the discussion that you might also think about the other option to go analog. But hesitated to write it. Here is my story: I have an ADS3 and was always reluctant to go analog. I thought there must be a way to have the...

Re: Playground for practical listening exercices

I usually hold myself back with my opinion here as I have been too often wrong. For your question before I like new (2) more (...8.mov) than new (1 ) (...2.mov) with respect to your last test - if this is the worst you can make your playback sound I am impressed because also this song flows very wel...

Re: Karousel

Efraim - I see you thought the same like I did making the adjustments from a reference setting - I thought if I use the 1.6 +1notch for the arm I can use that as reference to go from there in complete 0.2Nm turns and know where 2.6Nm should be ... however Fredrik told me thats not the way to go - so...

Re: Forum issues are discussed here

I agree with all said above - I also have the feeling that some new members are off the path. One issue is that if you start as a new member with this forum you might not familiar with tune dem. That happened to me in the beginning and than you end up stating things which are off the path. I was hap...

Re: Karousel

I installed a Karousel today and used Thomas recommended torque of 2.6 Nm +5 steps (~2.7 Nm) for the first time. Never been this impressed by a Karousel before. I only listened to one album while working with other things, but it repeatedly gripped me. No comparisons with other torques. that gives ...

Re: upgrade path

Do you mean the TDA1541A ? No. No typos from me on this. TDA1549 is correct. Give one a go. A CD player with a TDA1549. Cheap as chips and at least as tuneful as a Linn KDS. Any one? Surely some will be better than others, or are you saying that the worst sounding is still better than a KDS? And wh...

Re: Karousel

thank you Thomas - as always very helpfull - I didn’t thought about 4mm bits so thank you for the advice. I assume the top nut of the Karousel is the more important one for tune as the Karousel comes with the lower one screwed on from factory. Are the 1.6Nm, 1.8Nm 2.0Nm etc settings on the Sturtevan...

Re: Karousel

you use a normal 20mm nut with a 1/4 square to 1/4 hex adapter or a 3/8 square to 1/4 hex adapter or even 1/2 square to 1/4 hex adapter depending what your nut has. I couldnt find a 20mm nut which you can use directly but there might be in your country. I assume a normal nut will do and that you don...

2.6Nm +5notches should be 2.7Nm (to go with the example from HBE) The only issue I have and Thomas knows that one complete turn is 9 notches and I would have loved the tool to rather have 10 notches for a 0.2Nm step. I have seen Thomas working with long bits probably 50mm to 70mm and have seen Fredr...

Hi Ron I would like to understand your comment better - the Linn Forum is off since more than a year so all the departments would have the time. I might got your post wrong but Linn should just fix it - there is no excuse to not fix it not for the Lingo issue nor for the Radikal issue. ...maybe I ju...
