Re: Linn Factory Tour
[...] As much as I admire the current systems with Organik and what have you, it's been ages since I really heard something special, or special to me at least. There's been this slow but steady shift elsewhere, to a place that's not really offering me anything I want to listen to at home. I hope th...

Re: Karousel installation warning
This will hardly be the case, as the lower one experiences a significantly higher torque than the upper one. The lower one can be held safely with a wrench etc., while the upper one can be tightened with significantly less effort. Slipping of the three knobs should be impossible. Anyway, I will test...

Re: Karousel installation warning
Interesting detail and I'm sure I didn't pay attention to it. If the lower cap is tightened first, there should be no problems fixing the upper cap with the appropriate torque after centering.

Re: Ubiquity AmpliFi HD
Over the past 14 days, the audio stream via two Amplifi HD has been stable. A fixed channel in the 5GHz network is set up in the first router. A stable signal is displayed between the routers. I am confident that there will be a solution.

Re: Hermanns System
This is exactly where the crux lies. Version 1.4 offered the balanced experience and in my system the V 1.7 shifts the tonal balance and prioritizes some areas. Fredrik is aware of this and we'll see what happens next. By the way, that doesn't have to mean every system reacts in the same way. I've b...

Re: Hermanns System
Thank you for the comments. Before I solve the puzzle, I would like to share my thoughts. On December 7th, 2023 I switched the system back on to check its functionality after the upgrade. My concern was to wait some time until they warmed up. The first impressions were of freshness or enormous agili...

Re: Linn Factory Tour
Unfortunately, factory tours are only possible for me via video, as the factories are in England/Scotland. Many years ago I made an inquiry to Naim, but that didn't turn out to be practical. Linn's perspective is very interesting regarding employees. A family environment for the entire collaboration...

Re: Hermanns System
As announced, a new comparison. I had recorded some other songs, but unfortunately the SD card couldn't be read afterwards. Now the well-known ones. During a recording session the PRE REC was switched on in zoom recorder, hence some "noise" initially. Kari A1. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CuNeJa...

Re: Lejonklou Boazu Integrated Amp
I mentioned yesterday in another thread that we would be starting out the year with a really fine Boazu review. I didn’t realize we would be actually starting out the year with it but we did as it posted today! Here is the link: https://enjoythemusic.com/magazine/equipment/0124/Lejonklou_Boazu_Ster...

Re: Hermanns System
At the end of an exciting year, I would like to thank all the users who shared their moods, opinions and tips. First and foremost, however, my thanks go to Fredrik. Every single step, even over the past few years, pushes the system for the better. And I look forward to future developments with great...

Re: Ubiquity AmpliFi HD
Short interim report. The above setup is stable so far. In fact, the stream seems to be less susceptible to interference with two Amplifi HD.
The test with just one Amplifi will have to wait.

Re: Ubiquity AmpliFi HD
Thanks again tokenbrit. The link is very helpful. The Fritzbox cannot be put into bridge mode. In order to use the Amplifi for this, I have to convert it again and use three Amplifis like in setup #1. Obviously this is the preferred setting.

Re: Ubiquity AmpliFi HD
Thanks Sopper, I don't have any experience with that. Both WiFi routers use different channels, both in the 2.4 GHz network and 5 GHz. In the last net mentioned, only 4 WiFi routers are active including my two networks and recently on different channels. I don't see any conditions for instability. I...

Re: Ubiquity AmpliFi HD
There is a LAN bridge between the AVM router and the Amplifi #1. Setup #1 shows the Amplifi WiFi network, which is independent of the AVM WiFi network. The AVM repeaters inherently act as WiFi bridges with two Lan ports. In this respect, the Amplifi network does not require the bridge mode. Setup #2...

Thanks for the tips tockenbrit. The throughput is not the problem, the values serve to illustrate the behavior of the Amplifi routers. . Setup #1.png The analysis continues. First a test. Thanks Mathias,
Band steering is switched on. I guess by default. But maybe I'll turn it off to force the routers to 5GHz.

Re: Ubiquity AmpliFi HD
Some experience with Ubiquiti Amplifi HD WiFi router could be helpful if someone wants to set up the same or similar network. Regardless of the excellent change in the audio stream, the network is unstable and cannot keep up with AVM in some discipline. However, the first setup is exemplary simple. ...

I got the hint when I decided on the Sagatun Monos. In fact, the difference is audible and is therefore evidenced by the LP12 in my setup. So far I haven't had the Källa at this input.

Re: Wall Shelf For Linn LP12 Turntable With Trampolin?
During my active time I installed a few wall racks. A small and thin piece of foam rubber between the metal housing and the washer helped the LP12 sound a little better.
