Reply to discussions in the Sagatun Premiere thread;: http://www.lejonklou.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=18991#18991 I feels better if they are placed here. Some shelves were compared and indeed the latest Mimer K, on which the Klimax DS/2 was placed, is so good that one HAS to hear the difference it ma...

True, but don't tell my wife! ;-)lejonklou wrote:I think a majority preferred listening to the lady with Sagatun. Then the Mono's were connected and the same tune repeated. The discussion ended. Linnofil said something about her changing from "an OK singer", to "a girl I like", to "a girl I'm in love with!".

It was a very interesting evening. Thanks to Fredrik for developing the product and coming to Tonläget to present it. The Sagatun is better than the Klimax Kontrol on tunes, but some preferred the Kontrol for it’s more formal sound (I didn’t). The two preamps where relatively close to one another, c...

I am surprised about the outcome as my own findings were that the Sagatun was better in every respect. Yes, I was very surprised to! ITo assume Sagatun on top of a KK on a mimer K is better than a Mimer 3 on its own is a brave guess. My initial tests shows that the Mimer K is better the less it is ...

I can only agree with what Music Lover has said. The KK was better and I was very surprised by that. But it's not the finished product and the comparison wasn't a 100% fair. Having the Sagatun on top of the KK (on a Mimer K) is likely better than having it on a Mimer 3 shelf on its own. I'm pretty s...

Linn did not use the original drive units. There is detailed information available as to which part and model was used on each version of the Kan. The B110 was modified in several ways and therefore very difficult to find today. As I mentioned in an earlier post I did try a newer KEF B110 "Construc...

Connected the iPhone via 30-pin-to-RCA cable today and it sounds fine via the midi system downstairs. Just have to see how much use it gets now. Good to hear that there is progress in your quest for streaming! I would like to mention that the new lightning connector does not support analouge audio ...

I think a cable is a good place to start. Try to find a cable with the Apple connector in one end and RCA in the other. Like this one: http://www.teknikproffset.se/PartnerFiles/Teknikproffset/images/products/38-8184-large_1.jpg It sounds a lot better than when using the headphone output. Then you ca...

Hello again. As you understand I'm quite interested in your Kans :-) I'm greatful for your interest! You selected caps of different type, why and how? I went for polypropylen capacitors on the advice of Fredrik Lejonklou. It's also my personal experience that they are good for audio. They are also ...

Thank you Thomas for your posts and all your hard work. It's such a pleasure to be here and be able to test and talk about the digital chain. I have been reading a bit on the Linn forum since the Exakt system was launched and it's all "digital is perfect, accept it and shut up" over there. I bet you...

Lejonklou Slipsik phono stage 4.0 Black
Selling my black Lejonklou Slipsik phono stage, RIAA. It's a 4.0 version (This can be upgraded to 5.1 by swapping the main board.) It's in very good condition and can be shipped in it's original box. Sounds wonderful and is a great upgrade from almost all other phono amplifiers. It's located in Swed...

Is the EU 240V at 50Hz everywhere? EU standard is 230 VAC @ 50 Hz. This is for single phase power in regular wall outlets. Personally I can't understand how anybody could prefer a KCT/D to a Tundra 1.1 or 1.2. I have only heard Tundras on 230/50. But not all comparisons and systems are the same. I ...

I asked him that I was looking for ex-dem Majik 140 and he told me that he didn't have any. But that he had 2nd hand Espek which went further. I'm not sure what "went further" means, further down in frequency or further up in performance? Majik 140 is a lot better than Espek. All 2k (and 3k) array ...

Just thought I'd drop a note that it appears the Asus E45M1-M PRO mATX motherboard might be discontinued as well. Just up and running with my new LSNAS! Great news! At the moment it's still in a very sub-optimal HW configuration: Fractal Array R2 case's PS, A-Data RAM, Kingston SV300 60GB SSD (both for OS and for test music), but it's already CLEARLY better than my optimized Readynas NV+! Clearly more flowing ...

Tha Majik DSM is a great product. Go for it! But why Espek? Is sounds like your dealer has a pair that he wants to get rid of. What are you supposed to pay for them? A pair of Komponent 110's are better (if you dont have a big room or like lots of bass) and are probably cheaper. Majik 109 is also a ...
