Re: Ubiquity AmpliFi HD

I have no idea whether the Amplifi HD can work as an extender for another manufacturer's router. I'm also unsure of how this will sound. I suspect the main router will have a strong influence on the musical performance. The Amplifi HD can work as a switch/WAP type thingy (sorry, I don’t know what i...

Re: Ubiquity AmpliFi HD

Routers: I've only tried a handful of them and results have been random. I tested a fancy mesh system last year, which turned out to be really bad musically. Not just for Källa, but for all units that could generate sound. Apple TV, for instance. I believe that the musical performance of the router...

Re: Lejonklou Boazu Integrated Amp

.. I just purchased a Boazu 1.3! .. I've been looking everywhere for a preamp to mate with my VTV Purifi amp. Welcome. Congrats. Curious why a Boazu integrated, not a Sagatun preamp, if it's to "mate with [your] VTV Purifi amp"? Some 'next generation' stuff going on? ;) Pleased you asked that…..as ...

Re: XLR to RCA cables or adaptors?

AFAIK, factory made Linn Silvers are superior to diy ones. So I would not touch them but do the XLRs to RCAs with new unbalanced Silver cable from the roll. Hmmh, in this case one might as well conclude the opposite, i.e. that keeping the factory made RCA connections, and just replacing the XLR sid...

Is the change to grey lettering just for Kalla, or a change of direction for all new builds please Fredrik?
All new products/builds will have the grey logo.
I remember Linn lk280 went from white to grey, the grey looked more subtle.

Re: General Discussion about Källa

Is the SOtM switch really more musical than a Netgear GS-108T? From the descriptions and testimonials online I feel very skeptical about that. I would also add that in my experience, cascading switches makes the sound worse, not better. I strongly recommend that Källa is connected the way we recomm...

Re: Radio Paradise getting better?

In the last few days I've found it increasingly difficult to turn off Radio Paradise (playing on my Hakai) and go to bed. I keep finding myself thinking: "there's so much more to this song and it is much better than I remember" And then the next song comes on.... I haven't made any changes to the s...

Re: Charlie1's System

I'm still sat on the fence tbh. Agree, the 12/160 is more musical, less thick in the midrange too, but I also wonder if it's struggling to keep it all together at times, plus it sounds a bit ragged which kind of makes the polished sound of the Krystal a bit wasted. I think I will have to try the 42...
