Re: HiFi fuses

Some years ago I modified all my devices with new internal mains/earth wiring and connectors. In this context I removed all fuses. I was very happy with the result and never looked back. There has never been an issue and I switch my system completely off when I am not at home for several days. So th...

Lego, I am only referring to the Spotify MacOS version. You can try to reboot your router.
BTW, updated to 1.2.20 today, not worse than the last one.

Did you check your settings?

My impression so far is that the later versions sound better, considering long-term not directly from version to version.

Not that I am aware of, I use the latest version 1.2.19 on my Macbook.
Are you referring to one of the mobile versions?

Re: What Makes a Loudspeaker Musical?

If the crossover was designed first, it appears to me that there would be only one topology which would let the signal through without destroying its harmonic integrity: a series connected, first order dual filter network, consisting only of one capacitor and one inductor. Completely agree, Spannko...

Great shootout charlie1! For the first 10 seconds or so I really liked the first combo, however as the track progressed, the second combo really started to perform and pull into the lead. The first combo sounds great, but in comparison to the second combo it seems a bit brash and loud, whereas the ...

I would say the majority of "high end" manufacturers do this.
They do bait the pride of the customers and these are happy to get this treatment.

Re: LP12 50: If Jony Ive made record players...

There are those in mixing and production who know what they’re doing and those that do not. The only way I have been able to tell them apart is by listening. I haven’t found any numbers or specific techniques to be a short cut to the answer. I fully agree. I am just curious how the musical result w...

Prefer LP12 too, the intro on the Rega seems to be slightly detached from the rest of the song but anyway quite good.

I would describe the sound signature of the 360s as "polite".
All music played back with these speakers at HE Munich sounded somewhat similar.

But it's supposed to be a no-compromise premium product, and certainly has a correspondingly high price tag. It's also gone up in cost over 60% since I bought mine in 2007. They also mill the aluminium in house whereas not sure that was the case originally. I appreciate manufacturing costs have gon...
