Do you have the age/serial no.
Does it come withe the newer cable?
Is it possible for a local Linn dealer to confirm it is unblemished?

Re: Playground for practical listening exercices
Wow! Are those both at the same volume level? The Silvers are indeed superior IMHO. Much more dynamic, it is easier to hear the notes and the playing of the bass, the voice comes through more in tune and with more emotion, the synth, the drums - everything is more powerful and more enjoyable. What ...
Re: JBL 4645C
It does sound really good .
I suspect the little box, mysteriously shrouded in the purple T shirt and resting on its dedicated support is as important as the KDS/2 and its dedicated support.

Re: Komponent 110 and Lejonklou
Komponents now in the bedroom with the sneaky and my wife learning to like their looks. Only problem with trying them with KDS2 / Monos is that I now know how good they can sound and the next project is how to improve the source/ amplification and keep things discrete. It's clear to me that I need ...

Having just switched my bedroom sneaky for the downstairs KDS/2 ( with Boazu integrated amp and komponent 110s ) I can vouch for Music lovers advice.
You will of course have to save for a much shorter time if you go for KRDS/2.!

Re: Lejonklou Boazu Integrated Amp
Today with the low winter sun streaming through the bedroom window, and a rare free afternoon, I thought I would switch my sneaky with the KDS/2 and really see what Boazu is made of. Absolutely fantastic - what a great system - KDS/2, Boazu / Komponent 110s. Even with linn black interconnects and ch...

Sounds like you have a great system there - congratulations. Nothing better than a serious upgrade or two to really appreciate your music collection - looking forward to the next chapter of your Hi Fi journey. If it is going to be a new streamer, there may be another Lejonklou product along for you ...

Re: Introduction
Not sure - I am using the bedroom TVs Output into Boazu, set on 80 volume and it is pretty good using TV volume control. If one needs HDMI, KRDSM/1 has a good Digital Volume Control ( I think same as my KDS/2, but not in the same league as Sagatun monos and I presume Boazu) and could be paired up wi...

Re: Introduction
However, the KDS is certainly out off my price range. I was thinking more along the lines of a sneaky or majik. If your thinking of a sneaky / majik source - a Majik DSM is supposed to be an excellent all in one solution and one of Linns best products. If you are aiming higher - Tokenbrit's suggest...

Re: Introduction
Generally best to invest most in your source, then next the amp, and finally speakers. . The above is the best advice I got when new to the forum. Preamp before Power Amp. The second best was to optimize the installation - speaker positioning, interconnects , speaker cables etc etc I agree with Cha...

Re: 2016: thanks to jajo/christian/Linnofil/Lejonklou
A big thank you to Fredrik in 2016 for Boazu as well as the Tarundus upgrades , and if I am not mistaken Slipsik 6 as well.
If the Lejonklou streamer development is completed in 2017, we will have good reason to be just as grateful ( perhaps even more so) this time next year.

Re: Lejonklou Boazu Integrated Amp
Yes - it was sneaky and komponents before, and of course I am comparing only with this and not the main downstairs system! It's so much better than it was- hugely more enjoyable both in terms of sound and musicality. I have always thought the sneaky had a half way decent DAC ( having used it in the ...

Re: Lejonklou Boazu Integrated Amp
Boazu no 12 arrived the other day and has had a few hours with the Sneaky and Komponent 110s in the bedroom. Wow - what a difference. I was expecting a real boost but this has superceded anything I could have hoped for. It's not just the sound - (although clearly this is massively improved) - but al...

Re: Warning: Do not use the playground tread!
u252agz said he trusts his dealer's ears more than his own and that approach has lead to a very satisfying system. I think that's wise unless you have great ears like Mr Lejonklou and several others . So I've been trusting everyone's ears on the Playground thread and the difference is night and day...

Re: DAC for Boazu
I think Linn Sneaky is very good for the money - especially when its Digital Volume Control and its amplifier are bypassed and the DAC is used with a high quality pre amp and power amp - such as Boazu. In my main system - the sneaky has been incredibly enjoyable with Lejonklou Sagatun and Tundra Mon...

Re: Upgrade: Katalyst or LP12
Yes, we used Katalyst on our show in Windsor last weekend. Great player! I also made comparisons with another unit the week before. The LP12 used in Windsor was top spec and both sources were very enjoyable. I insist, however, that it takes a while for most of us to become aware of the flaws of a n...

Re: Fredrik at Hi-Fi Show Live, Windsor UK 29-30 Oct 2016
Popped in to check out Linn/Lejonklou / Totem in Sandringam 9 this morning. Small room, really small speakers but great music. Had to pinch myself that such a tiny bookshelf speaker could sound so good - with more than enough bass to keep me happy - amazing . Boazu as good as expected from the revie...

Just pondering on the best course. I have a Klimax DS/2 with KK1 , cost of upgrade to katalyst approx 3.8k LP12, Radikal, ,Ittok . Even while on a well deserved holiday Fredrik has posted that he will be at this UK show at the end of October. Sounds interesting. Hopefully more details will follow soon. Re: Tune Method / Tunedem / Silent Repetition etc
Regarding musical understanding versus emotion, one thing needs to be clarified: Music is a language of emotions. When we understand the music, we are receiving the emotional message. So my view is that when understanding , there is always an emotional reaction. What we want to avoid when doing an ...

. I just pick the option I'm enjoying most and this seems to be working great and aligning with the fine ears on this forum (i.e. Playground thread). This is what I do with comparisions - when listening to music I enjoy the music and appreciate all the emotional aspects others allude to. If I am li...
