I just spent a few minutes reading this thread and for what its worth the first real Linn product I ever heard was the Linn Basik phono cartridge back in 1984. It was part of a Rega Planar 3, Creek CAS4040 amplifier and Wharfedale Diamonds (I) system and it was so musical at that time that I'm still...

K400 is not solid core. I have both K20 and K400.

I totally aggree with Fred in this aspect. A telephone may be a tonal disaster but it may perform musically better than other "tonal" speakers.

If at least you can get gapless playback to work and have the DS continue playing music while the Nokia sleeps that will be more than enough for me to buy the Nokia and pay you a fee for the software!!!

It's really sad when such a young musician dies.....

I never heard of him before but did a quick check on Wikipedia and seems he was really talented and famous in the Northern countries.

Going to try getting some of his music in the next few days to pay proper tribute to him and his relatives.

The proper order to install 'Bute' is: 0. Uninstall all previous versions of LinnConfig and LinnGui. 1. Install 'Bute' version of LinnConfig 2. Unpack 'Bute' Softpack 3. Run new LinnConfig and flash DS (takes a few minutes to do, in my case about 5-7 mins...). 4. Install 'Bute' version of LinnGUI 5....

The sleep-mode is one of the issues with the Nokia N800. I've read of a way to disable the sleep-mode but don't remember were. :(

Don't have an answer about the repeat mode, but I don't think it works.

No problem so far with 300+ CDs. The licensing problem can be related to Vista user rights to the Twonky installation directory were the license is, or user rights to the Vista registry hive were the license is stored. In my case, Twonky is installed in an external NAS and due to the fact that I shu...

If I recall correctly the Linn cartridges were manufactured/voiced by:

Linn Basik (AT95E), K9, K18 -> Audio Technica
Trak, Asak, Asaka, Karma -> Sumiko
Troika, Klyde, Adikt -> Goldring
Arkive(s), Akiva -> Lyra (voiced by Jonathan Carr, Lyra's chief designer)
