For the last week or so I have been using 8 monos to drive my 350s. At this pont intime it represents an 'end point' for my system - there are no more upgrades possible at present. All I can say is that the sound it is producing is 'wow'. I have never heard anything that beats what I have now. Fredr...

I replaced Ninkas with Espeks in my CD12/5103/Solos system. It was an error - the Ninkas were a much better speaker. Like others have suggested, a Majik DSi or DSM with 109s is a fantastic combination for the money.

I am using a ’current spec' KK i.e the same spec as you would get if you were ordering one today. As you suggest, 83 with my current system is the same volume as 75 with the four Twins I was using. One of the big differences is the massive increase in the dynamiks of the music that the Monos have br...

Yesterday I changed the amplification for my Klimax 350 activ system from four dynamik Twins, to two sets of Monos (upper bass and mid), and two stereo Tundras (tweeter and super tweeter). My conclusion is that the system I have now is the best I have ever owned by a massive margin. I was using four...

I did feel that the Tundra Monos were in a different league from the dynamiked Klimax Twin. They had much better control of the music (as did Solos).

I personally thought the Klimax Twin, Solos and Tundra Monos were all very musical with little to choose btween them. They are all very enjoyable to listen to.

I also visited Anthonys yesterday to listen to the Monos and more importantly to meet Fredrik. It was a very enjoyable couple hours where the Monos were first compared to the KCTD and then to Solos (dynamiked), with 242s then 350s. My conclusion was that the Monos were streets ahead of the Twin and ...

A question for Fredrik:

Does the sound suffer if the Monos are stacked on top of each other versus separated on a shelf ?. I realise you need to put something under the feet to protect the lower amp.

At Anthonys today I listened to the Monos. The rest of the system was current spec KDS/KK/242s. We compared KCTD with Tundra Stereo with Tundra Monos and Solos. During the period of listening the Monos were definitely improving as they 'ran in'. My conclusion was that the stereo Tundra and the dynam...

Definitely keep the Ninkas. I was using a pair in the summer sitting in front of my 350's and driven by Tundra/KK/KDS and they sounded absolutely stunning. There is something very special about Ninkas. Years ago I was using them with CD12/5103/Solos and that is certainly one of the better systems I ...

The Tundra I sold to Sandgrown had not been used for about 6 weeks so that maybe an explanation. It's funny, I don't really notice the poorer sound quality when the Tundra is cold any more. When the amp was new it was really noticeable. I always turn the amps when not in use too so you'd think I'd h...

I did tell you not to listen to the Tundra until it has been playing music for 30 minutes ! This does make the Tundra a difficult amp to do A B comparisons with because you have to wait about 30 minutes before it starts to 'sing'. First impression: very detailed, but a bit 'cold' and unemotional. No...

First - thanks for buying the Tundra (posted this morning). As to your question - you can not mix the Tundra with Linn amps when using them with one set of speakers. The gain on the Tundra is different from Linn amps so can not be used either bi-amping, or with tuneboxes in combination with Linn amp...

If you were going to mix mono and stereo Tundras in the same system, you would really want them all looking the same ie 2 lights each box.
rowlandhills wrote:Thanks. Anyone know the reason for having two LEDs still? I would have thought one would make it clearer that this is the Mono version.
