I prefer my Slipsik 4.3 #24 over my (upgraded) Kinki 2 #24. Am I nut's ?? I feel I get more musical information from the grooves. I recently moved my TT and I thought the sound had got worse. Then it came to me that I have switched to my Kinki to solve some hum problem. Back to the Slipsik and we're...

Isn't Keltik midrange the same as the midrange in Kaber. Is the midrange in Kaber not the same as the bass/mid in a Tukan. Is the Tukan bass/mid not the same as in AV5140/Espek. ???? :D Edit: Found this quote on Stereophile "The Tukan's 5.1" bass/midrange driver and 3/4" dome tweeter appear to be of...

Frederik is a hero !!! I have told you about my bad experience with my previous Adikt. It seemed to be in very bad condition - and have always been. Today i recieved a new Adikt stylus from Frederik and spent a couple of hours mounting it. And yes - those "tags" have to come off. It had to go furthe...

Linn has finally made an LP12 support!!!! Hooray!!! What is that by the way? An Ikea Lack with your own shelf perhaps? It all looks good though whatever it is. It is a modified LACK table. It has been shortened so it is not so deep. It fit's the LP12 nice. I consider this as a temporary table bit I...

It has been said that using a soft thin flexible cable, which wont affect suspension, is not as good as the Linn cable. How can the Urika arm cable be any good. No P-clip, no "stiff" arm cable ????

Just a question of time. Please allow me to quote Mr. Lejonklou "But Linn price their products after performance, not development or production costs (that's a direct quote from the MD). And this surely makes them more vulnerable to competition." I'm sure there has been some developing cost but I th...

They are sticky about 2/3 into the record. I have performed a swing test but that proved to be imposible, about 2-3 swings !!! I guess Linn say 15 swings. The paper test seems to be OK where the arm is parallel to the record. Used arm's is imposible to find here in DK and apparently in Sweden to. In...

My Akito 1 is up for retirement. It is 20 years old and bearings are gone.

Re: AKG K 420 headphones

The K420 really are a fabulous upgrade from K24P. Highly recommended by Linnofil! Got them! Great pair of headphones! Less harsh in the treble than K24P, feels safer for my tinnitus ears. Basslines are more in tune, with solid notes instead of a blur. A bit less agressive and direct. No strange tim...
