Re: Paradigm Founder 120H
Good info.. thanks Defender. That’s quite a large/long room. I’d have to imagine the 708’s would further improve what the 308 does. Would the 308’s be a good “sample/idea” of what the 708’s can do? I’m thinking of trying these out first. The 708’s being as much as they are, I’d prefer not to risk bu...

Re: Paradigm Founder 120H
A very informative thread Defender, thanks so much.
Question… with this and most monitors meant for “nearfield” listening, I’m curious how these would fill a room 6.5mX4m.

Re: Paradigm Founder 120H
I’ll definitely check out that thread.
A Very interesting idea… selling my 242s and Tundra mono2 would then allow me to afford and “defend” the purchase of Sagatun Mono. I’d Love to hear forum members opinion regarding going in this direction…

Paradigm Founder 120H
Has anyone had a chance to listen to these? I’ve heard positive things from different sources. It’s a partially active floor stander.. 1000w on 3 8” woofers with room correction. Also.. Sonus Faber Olympica Nova III… these caught my eye.. supposed to be an entirely new speaker and not just and updat...

Re: Cord option
Here are examples of 220v power cords, they each are “3 prong” however they are different.
Could either one be used for what I’m looking to do?

Re: Cord option
Well I’m sooo glad I asked the question! That would be horrible. When I said 3 or 4 prong I was referring the the “male” end of the power cord, and how many connectors/prongs there are. I will try to post an image. Last question: could I Keep my Monos running the way they are @110v and have KK, K Ra...

Cord option
Good afternoon everyone. Quick ? Please. I’m in US and plan to have a dedicated 220 line run for my gear. For the purpose of connection/installation, does it matter if a 4 prong or 3 prong wall receptacle are used? If not,‘ will Any 220v 3 prong power cord suffice? Linn and Lejonklou are auto sensin...

Is it weird to miss distortion?
Sometimes I find myself longing for the “loud, harsh, distorted sound of certain songs that I play in my 2010 Camry via CD player. It’s mainly the harder rock songs.. Tool, Highly Suspect, and so on. I recently arrived home while listening to a Tool CD and couldn’t wait to hear it on vinyl. While it...

Thanks everyone! Great to share similar feelings/results amongst fellow forum members. After more listening, while i still feel its not an “in your face” result.. it Definitely is quite noticeable on each track of every album ive played.. seeing as i had my previous arm over 10 years.. assuming i ke...

Ekos SE finally!!
Ive finally had the opportunity to get an Ekos SE1 installed last week. Ive never upgraded a tonearm by itself, and honestly.. i wasnt sure if this would be worth it.. I mean-there are no electrical parts to benefit from upgrade.. its simply a few pieces of material put together that move quietly du...

Symptom of lp12 out of level
I’ve been meaning to ask the group this question. Let’s say my lp 12 is not level. Checking with multiple spirit levels, the left side of the deck needs to be higher than it is. So.. what does an out of level lp12 sound like vs. on level? Next ? Is when leveling, my table sits on quadraspire wall mo...

Ian,
May I ask what sources you are currently using with your solos and 242‘s? When you listened to the Sonus Faber floorstanders, did you have N opinion on how they compared to 242s?

Matt,
Of course you can ask. My bride does not care for them at all, which I am ok with that. She’s Always been 100% on board with gear I’ve purchased. I have no problem taking one for the team

7 skeets..?
Could anyone suggest how I can go about getting a single skeet. I have 7 which renders them of no use. If not, then I’d be willing to help someone out if that was in a similar position. No sense in to form members not being able to utilize their skeets.

Re: 3k array material
Ian,
Komri 4K was originally plastic then metal.. earlier plastic ones were capable of being swapped out for the metal.
The 3K on 242 is metal..at least on the mk2.
I recall a thread somewhere talking bout painting array black. I’d Love to have black arrays..

Mixing things up.. non Linn speakers?
So the recent possibility of acquiring a or of Komri’s has got me thinking and wanting to try different speakers. I’ve only owned Kaber, 212s, Keileidh Tukans, and 242s. I’d really like to try different manufacturers. I’m a sucker for Sonus Faber, the older models as well as interested in Harbeth, D...
