Can you recommend an mp3 player Linnofil I lost my old sansa To bad! I really feel sorry for you. I don't know anything on the market that is as good as the old Sansa 2.x. But I have recently bought (and sold) a Sandisk Sansa CLIP 8 Gb. I wanted to test it, since I heard some Linn guys like it. It ...

AKG K 420 headphones
As I have previously recommended the now discontinued AKG K24P with some reported satisfaction on the forum, I would like to share my latest find. I tested the K24P/K412P against a pair of (well run in) AKG K 420 and could not believe my ears! It was a definite improvement from my beloved K24P. They...

Hey, when did you find this headphone?? A few weeks ago. My original and well used K24P had one of it's hinges broken off. It was a sad moment and I went out to buy a pair of new K412P's. Hoping they would be as good as the K24P. When tested I actually think that they are the same headphones, just ...

Does anybody know if it's true that with a Bute DS, one can only add 50 tracks at one time? Yes, it's true. An application needs to do several calls of the so called "PlaylistInsert" UPnP action, splitting the long playlist into several pieces of max. 50 tracks. There is also a limit in the other d...

Does anybody know if it's true that with a Bute DS, one can only add 50 tracks at one time? (See: http://forums.linn.co.uk/bb/showthread.php?tid=2472&pid=24096#pid24096) Is that why my Plugplayer crasches when I try to add a lot of tracks? Is this a limit in Bute or a limit in the mobile/iPod apps? ...

I used to own HD650s and they were not very well suited to the MK and no doubt needed a dedicated amp to shine. You may be right, but I'm not so sure. I've bought/tested the HD650's and they where very unmusical to my ears, even on a "good" headphone amp. Even worse than my 20 year old Sennheiser 5...

The site that's watching this space, apparently... Maybe they are here to learn?
Personally, I welcome them as registered users. I'm sure they are here reading anyway. A lot of the members here are very dedicated Linn customers, so it is only smart for them to be here.

Possible new Lejonklou products
We need a separate subject for this! I have a suggestion, in light of the new Linn DC motor controlers with power supply for an internal phonostage. Why not make an internal version of the Slipsik 5, for use with the Radikal power supply? I bet you could beat Linn when it comes to market introductio...

To me it clearly sounds like there is something seriously wrong with the Solo's. I take this back! I read your signature and got the impression that you already had that installed. It's a great plan and do that BEFORE making any judgement on the Solos's performance. I think that with " mediacenter ...

To me it clearly sounds like there is something seriously wrong with the Solo's. Try one channel at the time as Fredrik suggests. Or try another Linn amp. A 2250 or 2200 may be enough for you to understand that there is someting wrong. (Wich you have already done, sort of.) Belive me, I have had a l...

Re: LP12 Power Supply Upgrades
Thank you Fredrik for a very good post. Not more to say really, tune dem/method rules... And now, back on topic! :) I have a Valhalla powered LP12 with an AKito arm and a new Ortofon Kontrapunkt B, and I'm looking for the most effective upgrade within a budget of £300. I agree with Azazello. Get the...

I'm close to buying an Akurate DS, so I'll need a preamp of some kind! Yes, go for it! I did see your post on the Linn Forum. It is an easy operation to change color, so don't let that hold you back. Sorry I'm a bit late with my impressions. Mostly I agree with Music Lover above. But I actually thought that the Kikkin was better than the Akurate Kontrol! New prices!
The Swedish currency has gone down against the bigger currencies in the world. So now my price is dropped even further! New price is £1100, $1900, EUR 1400 or SEK 14000.

Isn't Knekt the obvious solution? A Knekt RCU, or Basik IR RCU will control your entire Linnsystem, except the manual LP12 and the new DS players, wich will have to be controlled by a PC/GUI. Keep the system in another room or in a ventilated cabinet. (No back wall in the cabinet?) Speakers can be U...
