Brian Lucey seems to be uninformed and/or incorrect.

I agree with Fredrik, likely this is due to flaws in the handling and conversion of higher resolutions.

I remember Linn was strongly against this.

Re: The New Lejonklou Streamer

Gents, with streaming - are you discussing streaming from the Net or streaming from a NAS? Two completely different aspects. I fully understand people that use streaming from the Net as a secondary source, complementing vinyl or streaming from a NAS. But streaming from the Net is totally unacceptabl...

Re: JBL 4645C

However, it is available as a one way unit for just crossing over a sub (as well as 2, 3 and 4-way). A basic one way unit would be $800 including cards. However, I also recommend the upgrade to 1/2dB stepped attenuators in place of the 1dB standard parts as I feel 1/2dB is significant. This adds $3...

Re: JBL 4645C

It would be interesting to read about going active with 3677s Thomas. Recent experience with Naim and Kudos suggests it brings out a lot of music lost in passive crossovers. The Kudos speakers seemed to gain more, musically, than Linn speakers, although it might be that Naim make a better active cr...

Re: JBL 4645C

I just received word that my Marchand crossover shipped. I look forward to seeing if it will be musically superior to the Dahlquist. I ended up getting a different model than the one I had originally intended to. This model doesn't allow you to change frequencies on the fly but is actually much mor...

Re: The "squeeze" effect

Surely there are too many variables in the chain. Technical, skills, commercial and peer pressure to single out one thing? Have you noticed any changes in the underlying musicality within recordings, analog or digital, since the 1920’s? Imho, many of the best recordings were made in the 60’s and 70...

Re: Lejonklou Tundra 2.2 vs Linn C4200/D and KCT/D

It is my impression that some of the newer Linn amps and speakers are tailored to play well in the middle of the volume range, but fall short in the high volume range. I don't think it's tailored. It's simply difficult to design amplifiers/speakers that are good on both low, medium and high volume.

Re: Thank you

Try resetting the Sagatun to start from the standard settings. (no idea if that's going to address the issue, but worth a try)
Press and hold the front button SRC/MUTE. Then press and hold both front VOL buttons. Keep all three buttons pressed for 3 seconds.

Never using my iPhone for music. It's sooo very much better at home. Agree, a proper system is much better and enables me to listen much longer too. But good enough is OK too. Things can always be better. Why deprive yourself 20 mins enjoyment just cos you know it could be better? It probably helps...

When I owned a LP12, I replaced a bad record. Never played a dirty record either. Same with digital, only well ripped music without bit compression is played. I still enjoy music via iPhone, headphones and Google Play. Even if I enjoy music in my car (actually I pick car based on the sound system an...

Hi All It seems from previous posts as if the sub of choice to be used with the 3677 is the 4645C. Is there a specific reason why the 4645C is the choice over the smaller brother 3635? I am considering changing over to the 3677 plus sub combo and is curious if the 3635 may be an alternative. For Ho...
