I have been following the Linn community starting out on Topica along with Lejonklou in the late 90's. On here I have not written a lot but have followed many threads, mostly with great pleasure for a long time. In this thread I'd like to share a hobby project that is sprung from the long passion fo...

The market section is for equipment only. Perhaps you could mention your recordings elsewhere? For instance in the 'Me and My System' section?
OK. Thanks!

Re: Market Rules

Hi,

I was thinking that there might be pople here intersted in some of the music we have recorded, hence I am wondering if selling music here is ok, or is it gear only?

Kind regards,

Stefan

Many thanks to all attendances on the Lejonklou event at ågrens hifi. It was a really great weekend! And many thanks to Fredrik Lejonklou for the excellent demonstration of his amplifiers. I fully agree with his review a few posts up. I'm really delighted to offer Lejonklou products in the shop and...

I find the moderation of this forum to have past the border of acceptable. It is not only used to keep the discussion on track, but seemingly also to cut out opinions that are not in line with the ideas of the moderators.

MQA is lossy too from what I have read. Yes, it is. http://www.computeraudiophile.com/f8-general-forum/mqa-vaporware-31115/#post618753 Well, its far from mp3 etc and it's beside my point. If the claim that MQA could be bettered by 96 kHz, 18 bit FLAC compressed with a similar bandwidth requirement ...

Tidal now offers MQA streaming: http://www.computeraudiophile.com/f8-general-forum/big-mqa-news-really-tidal-and-software-decoding-etc-31151/ Hopefully they do not abandon streaming in RedBook quality without MQA coding. Zip file with 52.117 for KRDS1 would be appreciated. Thanks. Irritating that the 'best', most musical versions are often beta releases, so not generally available. Wonder what happens between musical beta, and release version I'm also interested in this one, anybody who has a copy? /Kallesprätt Me ...

I kind of like the raw, industrial look of the original boxes, but I fear my life would take a fast ending if I even suggested to put them in our living room. :-| I am sure those speakers must sound fantastic because there is no getting away from it, they are the ugliest in the world. Re: Why this forum makes sense!

It seems musicians listen for different things when listening to recordings, just as ordinary people do and especially when listening to their own music. Maybe it has something to do with how they look at their own work? Obviously musicians have a more intimate and insightful view on music in genera...

Why so few US Linn (and Lejonklou) dealers?

Reading ThomasOK's post I find the subject worthy its own thread, so; @ThomasOK (and whoever like to contribute) I get it why Lejonklou havent been able to build up a huge net of dealers (relatively new on the market and with a very limited budget), but what would You think is the reason that Linn a...

Re: Analog vs. Digital, revisited

Matt, it was an example to show that DSD and PCM are not the same signal. And if yo compare DSD128 with PCM 32b/384kHz (or something) you will get the same. With 24/88.2 PCM you will get maximum 40 kHz and never 140dB. This is a simplified graph which has nothing to do with reality. But you are rig...

Re: Analog vs. Digital, revisited

I do find it interesting that, along with older mics, a lot of the most musical recordings date from the late 50s through the mid 70s. I think there is little doubt that the simplicity of the recording process dictated by two and four track tape machines and simple mixing consoles, combined with re...

That the positioning of a rack is important have been known many years. Anders must have forgot mentioning that. Also the size of the K-base shelf damping is important. The torq of each component in the rack is as well. I can confirm that. Also when placing the shelf well away from the speakers (in...
