Re: Källa is now shipping

The system is Källa - Sagatun Mono - Tundra Prototyp - Graham BBC 3/5 - Linn silver ICs and 2.48m K200
It's a tight space atm but we're busy creating more room to allow a better speaker placement.

Re: Källa is now shipping

Yes!! Two Källas arrived today. ....indeed installing a streamer has never been as easy as Källa - connect ethernet, RCA and power cables, switch it on an you're greeted with a little tune indicating that Källa and the network have found each other. Then the more difficult part begins......listening...

Källa 002 and 003 are now on their way to Amsterdam. Will Concerto Audio get one? Matt Yes, but not yet from this first batch. Källa 002 will be my private one and not leave our premises, period :-) As I've experienced over the years that too often for my liking my Lejonklou gear has been away for ...

Fantastic news Fredrik, congrats!

Even if we haven't heard it yet I know - as with any of your products - it will be more than worth the wait.
So far all have exceeded my expectations.....and then some.

RRP of Källa in the UK has been set at £ 5600 incl. VAT.

My recommendation list so far for studio monitors would be 1) JBL 708P 2) JBL 308P MK1 3) JBL 305P MK1 4) JBL 308P MK2 5) JBL 305P MK2 6) Genelec 1029A Hi Jajo, thanks for your recommendation list. If you are lacking the budget for Harmonihyllan, get the (basic) Quadraspire Q4 evo rack instead.
These are good, affordable racks which can also relatively easy be found on the used market.

Re: Hermanns System

First I supplied the Sagatun Monos with 2 pairs of early non-slotted Linn silver RCAs. The 'newer' Linn silver cable is still mk1 - so not the current mk2 version - but a slotted version, and a pair I ran into by accident upon clearing our storage room and sent that also to Hermann. Haven't tried mk...

Re: Lejonklou and Harbeth?

I have played Graham LS6 and LS5/9 with Boazu and the separates Sagatun & Tundra stereo and this worked very well - in fact the 5/9 have meanwhile become my wife's favourite speaker, both musically and aesthetically. So yes, I think Harbeth C7 would be a good match too. Seeing your system signature,...

Thanks Hermann for your early impressions, sounding very promising indeed. Btw the 2 Linn silver pairs need no running-in as these are early non-slotted ones from my personal setup. Tundra Monos are still not available but I've sent Hermann a pair of Sagatun Monos to test.

Sagatun stereo is still one unit available but I think less interesting to compare against his Naim 552/DR preamp.

Hi Hermann, Glad to hear you've taken receival of the Sagatuns. If all went well the Linn silver ICs have arrived today too. Lejonklou gear certainly does not need 4-6 weeks to warm up and play at its best. Something between 4-24 hours you will normally hear them unfolding their musical capabilities...

Re: Mixing things up.. non Linn speakers?

Graham Audio speakers work very well with Lejonklou amplification. Monitors LS6, LS5/9 and their floorstander version 5/9F are great musical speakers. Also I have high hopes of their newest BBC model, BC1 due to be released in June. This is a 3-way monitor that originally has been developed 50y ago ...

Re: Amp and other upgrade options...

Since 2014, I'm running my (mod.)109s passive (with an A2200). As I recently wrote in another thread, just before the pandemic, I did a demo at my dealer of M6100/Aktiv 109s vs. A2200/passive 109s. The source was an ADSM/3 (which has 2 pre-out, so swapping between the 2 set-up was easy). The result...

Re: Lejonklou availability in the UK

I am using a Gaio at present and would like to upgade it to a Slipsik or Entity. Is it correct that Lejonklou are not supplying the UK anymore ? Certainly not. Despite the tariff-free zone that we had been promised by the Brexit agreement last December, we have experienced illogical and unexpected ...
