So it seems to be the best to combine Tundra not with Linn speakers but with high sensitivity speakers. Please don't be offended, matthias, but your conclusion is exactly the reason why I wanted to avoid publishing power figures for Tundra. Why? Because then everyone would have to try in real life ...

I don't remember exactly what I wrote, Matthias, but I suspect my comment was theoretical and regarding an alternative way of distributing the gain in a HiFi system. It's true that most of the time, we use the preamp as an attenuator. Which means that it lowers the volume of the signal from the sou...

Is there any exact date when Tundra is gonna be released? No, no exact day has been set. Tundra is being tested for EMC (electromagnetic compatibility), which I expect will go well. In the meantime, I'm checking alternative companies to do the painting of the enclosures. The current finish is ok, b...

Re: Lejonklou Tundra

Final price is not set, but a rough estimate is around 30.000 SEK (=3300€=£2900=$4700). Wow. If it can compete with Linn Solos and appeal to those who appreciate what Linn do, that's the sort of price that will have an impact. Very interesting. Even I could afford it, although the s/h market might ...

Thanks just bought a new Power strip from Claes Ohlsson gonna do a test. Worth comparing your Claes Ohlsson with the simplest (and probably cheapest) one you can find in a DIY store - i.e. no power surge protection or on/off switch etc. It is funny how Clas Olson power strip can sound so good it on...

I prefer to connect the sources closest to where the mains power enters the strip. Mains power entrance - LP12 - DS - Pre amp - Power amp I have tried both ways (at Fredrik's suggestion) and I agree. It is more tuneful with the sources first and power amps last. Naim recommends the reverse and it d...

I think single amping and single wiring passive 109's sounds best. But with a 4200, you only need one 2200 and a set of aktiv cards to go aktiv. Nice upgrade, although a bit expensive, of course. Got to go listening to Isobarik with aktive bas and Akurate 4200 anybody heard them with Akurate 4200? ...

In my opinion, single wiring the 109's is way superior to bi- or triwiring. The Treble + and - inputs should be used. I haven't been able to try bi- or triwiring here at the store but did try the different ways of connecting to the terminals and agree that Treble + and - inputs are the most musical...

I tried many materials (various types of sand, lead shots, textiles) and experimented with different amounts of filling (from full to less than 1/10th) with the Katan floor stands. Those stands are very similar to the 109 stands in construction. They always sounded best empty. What about tri-wiring...

And what about the hight of the stands for the Majik 109 som say the Supertweeter chould be playing over ear hight? The standard floor stands have just the right height.
