How to clean vinyl records

Hey Guys! I just have to share something I just realized. The other day when I was about to put on a record I saw my camera cleaning device ( just like this one ) laying right beside my LP12. I felt a bit like an idiot having been playing records for 30 years or so and never thought about it before,...

Deleted a post (and two replies to it) that felt more lika a personal attack than a comment on the subject.

Please stick to topic, and please be polite (I'm the only one who gets to be impolite here)!

Re: Audiowoof scam alert

We have now implemented a routine where we screen all ads before they are published. This is of course no guarantee, but at least most of the trollish spam-fraud will go away.

Re: Audiowoof scam alert

Audiowoof is not moderated,I told the faker I have reported to the relevant authorities, and the listing is removed,no coincidence me thinks. I have also posted on the Linn forums,to make as many aware as possible Where did you get the idea that AudioWoof is "not moderated"? Ads that are assessed as...

Please read the rules. And please also understand that I will delete all further discussion that doesn't stem from evaluation with Tune Method. Feel welcome to stay and learn about it. But don't waste your time trying to argue against the foundation of the forum.

Re: Forum issues are discussed here

However, unlike North Korea or the Islamic State, we are not forcing anything on anyone :) Think of it as a church that you are free to enter as long as you follow certain rules. Outside of it, we do not try to spread our beliefs or criticize anyone with a different faith. These are very self-right...

Re: Absolute Bargains!

Nice, how do you interface the board to the console? Matt I just drilled holes in the board, leveled it with paper, and fastened it loosely with cable ties. Fastening with screws would likely kill it. https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipOSE_-SXjK7MDqtcKvDEAkeGtiCaexgvGFkiMmA8ZyYsCIFzpg9AtZ0Ptm1l7...

Re: Absolute Bargains!

I've been meaning to post this home-made wall shelf here for over a year! It consists of a couple of consoles and a bamboo cuttong board, both from from IKEA. It costs almost nothing (less that $20). Looks ok (to me) and sounds great! I have not compared it to anything on this wall, but it sounds go...

Re: Forum issues are discussed here

I find the moderation of this forum to have past the border of acceptable. It is not only used to keep the discussion on track, but seemingly also to cut out opinions that are not in line with the ideas of the moderators. Absolutely yes . It would be pointless to let people write all kind of rubbis...

Re: Forum issues are discussed here

Someone is pissed with power. I'm very disappointed with the moderation here, it's totally unacceptable. Heavy handed and based on one person's opinion a whole lot of entertaining and interesting discussion has been binned. Ridiculous. Sorry that you feel that way, but the intention of this forum h...

Hi everybody! Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. The time and focus I have to spend on the moderations is very limited at the moment. Ashley, you need to read the forum rules as well as learn some general manners. This is not a place for you. Posts deleted because we want this forum to be a database of knowledge, not "debate".

Questions about moderation in PM please, not in this thread.

Re: The New Lejonklou Streamer

First:Red simply indicates that I’m writing in my roll of moderator. That's just to distinguish from when I'm writing as a forum member. Is by no means an indication of upset feelings. I think that is standard on most forums? Maybe I should include some kind of disclaimer when I do that..? Or shoul...

Hi jajo!

What is your impression of the performance of those JBL's compared to the 242's you replaced with them? Did you ever compare in the same system?

Re: Wakonda(internal Lingo) vs Valhalla

"Wakonda Lingo"..? What is that? If it's a Valhalla then it's a compleatly different construction compared to Lingo, and £250 is probably a bit expensive.

The only Wakonda I know about is the pre-amplifier?

Re: Linn LK240 mono amplifiers

Still, I would guess that there is something wrong with your 2250, or something else in the system. I compared LK100 to 2200 quite extensively a couple of years ago and I cannot imagine anyone would prefer the LK100. It made the system sound really flat and lifeless in comparasion. That was 2200 and...

Re: Whither Tunedem, 2015

Hi Donuk! From your "musician" perspective - let me suggest that you skip all those steps and only ask yourself one thing (assuming that you do this in order to compare two components or similar, playing the same record of course): Is this band better than the other? Are they able to better communic...
