Re: KDSM Renew

I can recommend the RKDSM, Tundra and 242s combo. I've just switched from a Renew KDS/1 and Exotik/Dyn combination feeding my own Tundra and 242s to a Renew KDSM (thanks to another seller on here) and it sounds great!

Re: The New Lejonklou Streamer

A couple of thoughts from me on those points, some of which are the opposite of Don's views (sorry!) : 1 - I agree that this would be useful to some, and that a Lejonklou Streamer + Tundra combo might well be more tuneful than a Streamer + inferior preamp + Tundra combo. However, I wouldn't compromi...

Very nice setup there. If you upgrade the amplification at some point it will really release a lot more from those sources and speakers.

Re: How do you like your second system?

No impact on your NAS or DS from playing other sources through Airplay or Songcast. I love having the option, and would rather that my kids, wife and visitors are able to enjoy the system than have me hide it away with only my choice in music able to play on it! If anything, I want to keep some of m...

Sounds like a good outcome there Charlie!

Interesting. I wonder if it's the Sneaky or the 104s which are the limiting factor there.

Re: DS firmware - what is the lastest on the most musical one?

As the release notes for 35 say:
Fixed problem where certain DS devices with Exakt outputs would not boot with Davaar 34
Looks like it's only a concern if you have Exakt outputs on your device, so fine for anyone with a Renew, for instance.

Re: DS firmware - what is the lastest on the most musical one?

Just be a little bit wary of 34. The reason it was withdrawn was that one or two people managed to completely "brick" their DS/DSM when applying it. I don't know which model and what specific circumstances applied when it was being updated, but I just thought I'd mention it...

Can't say that I have a spare small piece, but I have a pair of K400 which are not in use at the moment which I could cut down a bit if no-one else is able to help. Let me know if no-one else is forthcoming with spare cable.

Re: Absolute Bargains!

I ordered one of these Monster power distribution blocks on recommendation from Flatearther, and I'd say that it does sound a bit more tuneful than the old generic one, as well as having surge protection, which seems like a good idea for the hifi. Current setup is: Double Socket on Wall (outlets A, ...

Re: DS killer

Hi all. A mono version, please no ;) I have enough issues finding space for Sagatun mono's in my rack :) Now there's an interesting thought. Mono streamers could lead to a rack by each speaker, with a "Lenjonklou DS Mono", Sagatun Mono and Tundra Mono, and nothing shared between left and right chan...

Re: New agent for Lejonklou Germany

Website looks simple and clean, which is a good start. Two comments: It's worth doing a responsive (mobile optimised) site these days. I probably do 70-80% of my web browsing from phone or tablet, not laptop. It would be good to add English language pages too. This is usually a toggle on the top rig...

I hear what you say, but I'll point you at this comment by Fredrik himself on the previous page (my bold emphasis): Sounds like a very good system, rowlandhills. It's a great bit of kit. Re: The death of K400

That looks like a very neat bit of work there, Nature. Would be interested to see them in situ, between your amps and speakers. Although it does result in a big black cable to your speakers, one advantage of K600 is that it's all together in a single run and doesn't risk looking like spaghetti! Inte...

Re: rowlandhills's System

Thanks Fredrik, and you deserve all praises for the performance of the Tundra. The plan is to just enjoy it for a while, but there are definitely options on the horizon around the Tundra upgrade and a better preamp (or KDSM, given that I need digital sources too) which are very tempting too... Whate...
