well, I just looked up the Linn Adikt. I has about 6,5 mV. This would mean 663 mV output.

Do you think I should put some resistance in the line to get it to 500mV?
If yes, how much would you suggest?

well I use a lot of cartridges, they are mostly at about 5V. (Black, Bonze, Adikt, V15 iV)

I used it at at a 300mv input so fare and i thing the this one is a lot better.

I think its perfect now.

I agree with Thomas. You must look at your stylus. Use a diamante loupe. They are 10x and very good for checking. Yes, I like the Elac, too. I use it play second hand records that haven't been cleaned and 7inches on 45. So fare I haven't been successful to find an old needle. This one is the after 'marked one' that can be used in all Elac 79XY.

And it is a lot softer.
