( for people following this: We talke about the different sensitive inputs on a modded Quad 44 with Burr Brown 134 Opamps)
Furthermore, damping is there anyway.
For me it is not clipping it is more desortion. Thats taste... getting warmth .. loosing room.

Re: Lejonklou Gaio
well, I just looked up the Linn Adikt. I has about 6,5 mV. This would mean 663 mV output.
Do you think I should put some resistance in the line to get it to 500mV?
If yes, how much would you suggest?

Re: Lejonklou Gaio
Hello,
may I ask what audio output level the Gaio has?
I have a 500mV/ 500K input and
I want to meet the right operation level of the Opamps in the input.
Liebe Grüße...Frank

What I found out so far analysing 5 screwdrivers CAL 36/4: 1. Some can be quite old. I did not have a new one so far. 2. And a lot have missing parts or have the wrong part at the wrong position and work still some how. 3. It is a 3D puzzle to repair but I have fun doing it. 4. The most are not repe...

I changed to my fourth Adikt stylus yesterday and was amazed once again by the difference it makes. The two last styluses I have changed after 21 and 17 months respectively which for me means less than 200 hours. I don’t know what burdens most – age or playing time, but towards the end of the life ...

I agree with Thomas. You must look at your stylus. Use a diamante loupe. They are 10x and very good for checking. As alternative make some macros with your digital cam and study them on you computer screen. A photo of my Gyger II - Linn Adikt Needle --- have fun with a klick--- http://www.burglinn.d...

Hi, you must look at this. I think its cool. It all started with torque and the famous CAL-36/4 and me wanting to verify that screwdriver. Now I can do it. I can calibrate it and I can tell how much it was off. klick to enlarge: http://www.burglinn.de/cap/Voila_Capture%202014-03-12_07-25-35_nachm.jp...

Cognates! A gorgeous product! I have it running now. First I connected it wrong because of the different colour code and my general aversion against instruction manuals. I mixed up right and left and I thought: 'That’s different!' http://www.burglinn.de/DJim/Voila_Capture%202014-02-11_09-58-08_nachm...

Well, Mike Oldfield plays all the guitars and the all drums are performed by Simon Philips. Meaning artistic performance: it could well be that there is a competition between them. Hence, the piece is called :Taurus 3! I mean it’s not a bug it could be a feature. I don't get the sense that the Adikt...

Thanks for your opinion. It was fun to make! I cannot listen to it in the moment… I think I had it too much, yesterday. All I can says is: That it would have been helpful, if the record company could make the hole in the centre of the record. Here it is just a mm off centre. The Adikt (‘big wale sur...

Re: Linear tracking Biotracer, what a name!
I remember it! But I don't think I ever listened to one and I haven't serviced one either. Other "super Japs" - as well as "super American" and "super Swiss" turntables - have been such huge disappointments when compared to an LP12 that I've pretty much given up on all of them. Well, 1986 it was in...

Linear tracking Biotracer, what a name!
It is really cool! In the moment it's my favourite record player: the famous Sony PS-X555ES. I refurbished this nearly 30 years old player completely! And it sounds absolutely ‘fantastique’. It has so many features. I will explain some later here. The best one is: the electronic stylus force adjustm...

Thank you for the enlightenment and for the 'Ortofon values'! And .... No, I will not join the bus of torque on my cartridge screws. I like all the meals in your kitchen. But the amount of 40% of a Gaio for a screwdriver does not come across my taste. But a smale calibration question: The feeling of...

Thank you for this!lplover wrote:Hi,
2. best torque for Adikt screws is 0,2-0,3 Nm?
I decided to untighten the screws on a Ortofon 2M Bronze.
And it is a lot softer.
No! It is wunderbar!
ONE QUESTION:
How do you measure 0,2-0,3 Nm TORQUE?
