Re: Speaker Choices for Lejonklou amplifiers…?
Mine are mk1 version with upgraded stand. I think with the sub they are fantastic, and play very tuneful. They also have something called bass boost which is very underwhelming, it just make them sound worse. I wish I had two A226 but they are very rare on the second hand market. I don't know how th...

Re: Speaker Choices for Lejonklou amplifiers…?
Pertaining to 242’s. We hade Mk1’s before the Akubariks and I didn’t like them at all. It sounded too clinical to my ears. We tried this passive single amped, bi-amped, aktiv and even exakt (exaktbox10, non K) with Akurate amps but were never happy. I can pretty much relate to this. I run A242 with...

Re: Sagatun and Sagatun Mono
That's the best $615.00 I have ever spent on audio... That sounds promising :) We go from 1.4 to 1.7 so it looks like big upgrade. I was not aware of it. I also have an Entity 1.0 that needs an upgrade. All I can say is that the upgrades will blow your mind. To upgrade Sagatun 1.4 to 1.7 you will h...

Re: Understanding what a good rack needs to deliver
I got shelfs from a construction shop for my second Harmony rack. https://www.bauhaus.se/hyllplan-paulownia-18x400x800mm This Paulownia wood is very light and stiff. It also looks very good. I think it sounds excellent even compared to my original Harmony rack with Mimer and Tor shelfs. Not better b...

Re: AirPlaying Around
Today I finally tried my idea to use an Apple TV and Numerik as a low budget Spotify streamer. It works surprisingly good. I use the optical out from the Apple TV into a optical to coax converter into the Numerik. I can't judge the sound quality because I have nothing to compare with. Well, it sound...

Re: LP 12 felt mat care
Yes it works pretty good I think. The only worries I have about it is that if you have a fresh tape that is super sticky it may pick some felt material from the mat. You can roll it on your swetter a couple of times just to remove some stickiness. I use one of these to keep them clean from dust. htt...
Re: Entity MC
Okey need to do it then after this review. Just upgraded to Krystal and love it :) so a nice upgrade again waiting around the corner.

Re: Mounting Krystal MC on Ekos SE/1
the good thing is Linn lets you connect it only one way the connectors have different diameters - you will see it when you unpack them Thanks! Krystal is playing now! Installation was quite easy. Had to turn it all the way to the right to make it fit the Protractor. Very happy with how it plays mus...

Re: Mounting Krystal MC on Ekos SE/1
I finally got my Krystal after a some wait. Very useful information here but still wondering about some things. Is there a direction on the cables? One end has color coding and the other end is black. Should the colored end be attached to the arm or the other way around? Torque 0.4 Nm on Ekos2? IMG_...
Re: Karousel
Checked my two LP12:s, both have the outer platter a little bit higher than the inner. One is from 86 (upgraded to circus in 90:s) and the other one has a rather new cirkus and a new outer platter from 2018.

Re: Recommended tool for 242 3 k array torque settings
You have to carefully pry out the rubber rings holding the grilles into the cabinet. Thanks Thomas! It was easy to do it. Wow they sound good without the grills! They're not going back on. Coming back about torques. I find it quite hard to judge. Now playing with 0.8 Nm on 3K and 1.0 Nm on basses. ...

Re: Recommended tool for 242 3 k array torque settings
I would like to try some different torques on the bass drivers on 242s. How do you get to the screws? Any ideas how to take these grills off?

Re: Using Torque Screwdriver on LP12
You´re right, it´s a typo! I was looking on the scale on the driver but forgot that it´s a 1 also to be added. Sorry I should have written 1.6... . I change that in the post above so no confusion starts.

Re: Using Torque Screwdriver on LP12
Have now tested a few torques at the arm collar screw. It was the easiest to start with. Started at 1.5 Nm and then increased to 1.6, 1.65, 1.7, 1.8 Nm. Very close between 1.6 and 1.65 then the rest was clearly worse. The driver makes an audible click at the selected torque value. I made two clicks ...

Re: Using Torque Screwdriver on LP12
Now I can join the torque driver club! Got one secondhand Sturtevant Cal 36/4 from US, the cargo and import charges was more than the screwdriver it self. Well it seems to work ok but it is very hard to se the torque values. Anyway it is going to be fun to test it. I would be very interested in star...
Re: Karousel
The comparison is between my original torque on the Karousel of .4Nm -2 notches in Clip 1 vs. my latest (and I hope final) torque of 2.6Nm +5 notches in Clip 2. No other changes were made to the system. ... Thanks Thomas for doing these tests. Quite intersting that optimal torques are different on ...

Re: Twin/D vs non Dynamik Solo.
I don´t have much experience in A242 more than I yesterday got a pair secondhand. These are the mk1 version but with upgraded stands. They replaced my M140. I have a Sagatun/Tundra stereo amplifier. Wow they are really great speakers. The seller had Akurate DS system and I think my Lejonklou system ...
