Re: Linn 50th Anniversary
The Ekos SE arm is very good, while retaining the same ideas of simplicity and technological homogeneity of the Ittoks arms then the Ekos, it is a physical improvement with the Titanium tube, the afinés bearings + ceramic balls in one direction; perhaps only a new Ekos SE improved with Sapphire ball...
Re: Karousel
I have been using the Karousel for 3 weeks. I started with torque 3.5 Nm on Keel, indicated by Linn , the tool is Wera A5 2.5Nm-25Nm. Listening with Karousel at 3.5Nm is more energetic and dynamic than Cirkus, but less melodic. After several days of listening, I changed the torque to 2.6 Nm, it beca...

Re: Klimax vs Akurate Radikal
Great idea Alan. How does it sound? With a friend we exchanged for a few days his Radikal Klimax and the Radikal Aluminium 10mm; the differences are small, we considered that both sound with a nice resemblance. The circuits of the Radikal klimax are mounted upside down, probably, the closing screws...

Re: Klimax vs Akurate Radikal
Sounds like a technical success. Now, cosmetically......................................... Yes, with the enlarged photo and flash the paint retouches near the rear connectors are amplified, as well as the underlayment, fortunately these imperfections are hardly noticeable or little. Otherwise I wo...

Re: Klimax vs Akurate Radikal
Hello, Radikal Akurate / Klimax, I tried a version with a 10mm aluminum housing assembled solid(10kg). Compared to my Akurate case which is already efficient, the Aluminium 10mm case makes a big progression that I did not think! https://nsa40.casimages.com/img/2021/01/04/mini_210104045430718179.jpg ...
Re: Karousel
Good evening,
According verification, the Wera A5 progresses 0.1Nm between each clics. The starting clic is 1Nm, 10 clics increase the tightening by 1Nm, 5clics =0.5Nm. 25 clics for the official tightening torque 2.5 Nm. 2.5+0.1 =2.6 Nm +0.1=2.7Nm.
2.5Nm +0.5 =3Nm +0.5=3.5Nm.

Re: Karousel
Thank you Lejonclou, Your explanation is interesting, the measurement of Thomas OK 2.7Nm provides a valuable help to understand that one must avoid too much torque tightening. Linn indicates a torque tightening of 3.5Nm, perhaps to the maximum? I think a correct tightening between 2.7Nm and 3.2Nm. T...
Re: Karousel
Hello, I apologize . I just changed what I had written at the beginning, with my new Wera that I received yesterday the user manual is not detailed. I have just noticed that the decimal graduations on the rotary dial of the Wera A5 starts 10 notches before 2.5Nm this distorts my estimate that preced...
Re: Karousel
Isn’t it easy to get a good opinion, apart from the video intermediary? As we know, a listening system is limited to the weakest part; likely that the richness of the Karousel reveals in a more incisive way the limits and defects of the technology clips? The future listening life-size with Karousel...

Re: Briks missing bass
I had my first Briks in 1983 fed by nap 250 then nap 135. The back wall was made of concrete and the concrete floor covered with carpet, the Briks played well. Then when I moved the wall was plasterboard, the bass had no more energy; I balanced against the wall, decorative panels of compressed wood ...

Re: Keel bounce on Urika case
Thank you for your answers, Yes the Urika/Keel problem is not the same as the Radikal Engine/Trampolin Foot Membrane, However the 2 problems are the cause of a LP12 wooden frame with insufficient height, My wood frame 64mm minus 4mm(60mm) for fixing the trampolin, Urika rested on the Keel, Sorry abo...

Keel bounce on Urika case
I bought Urika on Ebay, I found that Urika comes into contact with the Keel, I installed around the trampolin thin aluminum soles of 40x9mm and 30x9mm 2.5mm thick, now the bounce of the springs is fine, My Linn frame is 64mm, the soles raise the frame to 66.5mm, My lp12 now plays very well with Urik...
