Re: LEJONKLOU MUGS - Updated with first charity donations
The mugs have arrived! They look quite nice and all survived the trans-oceanic trip without damage. That the despite the written warnings not to drop, etc. which most US shipping companies seem to take as a request to do just that. Now I just have to figure out how to package them individually or i...

Re: Linn Klimax Kontrol: are the balanced/unbalanced outputs independent?
Yes. You would need to balance the volume on the subs anyway.
So just go ahead with your set up setting the sub volume levels by ear.
Enjoy.

Re: Linn Klimax Kontrol: are the balanced/unbalanced outputs independent?
You can't use them at the same time in the context of an active system or bi-amping, if that's what you were thinking of doing.
They have different gain levels so they can't be used in this way. Fine if you want to feed amps in different rooms of course.

Re: upgrade path
I've heard a few systems containing Lampizator components. Mixed bag - none of them bad, one particularly musical, one too edgy for long term listening. Despite the www claims, these are not reasonably priced components, with DACs and CD players in the €3k to €6k region. If the components they build...

Re: Linn AKurate 4200 Internal Cable Disconnection
I have already removed the two internal, interchannel links - ie the one between channels 1+2 and the other between channels 3+4. It is a different cable that I am trying to identify and then remove. There are several threads on this forum about removing a cable between the right and left boards - ...

Are they the same as Keilidh / Kaber? If so, several sets available, the seller is a Linn dealer so can probably let you know if they will fit Keltik: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Official-Linn-Speaker-Spike-Set-Brand-New/333751495043?hash=item4db523a983:g:5aIAAOSwGFZcf-nZ I have no link with the sell...

Re: Linn Akurate DS/0 update problem
I have Akurate DSM, Sneaky DS and Majik DSM/3 and they all updated seamlessly.
My brother updated his Akurate DS/0 without problem last week too.
First check if your Konfig is up to date, if it is then I suggest you contact helpline@linn.co.uk as they can look at your system's logs.

Do you mean a music signal link between each half? IIRC there is no music signal link between the 2 boards.
Re: Karousel
Here's another little update. I just had time to play around with the Karousel top nut on the store demo Majik LP12. Interestingly it is still the most musical at the 3.4Nm even setting I had found before on the Kore. I tried both the 4.0 -2 again (just for additional verification) and the 2.6 +3 I...

Re: Home Network tweaking (was 'Buy or Rent')
An important thing about DHCP / address allocation & assignment of addresses. It must only happen in one place in your network. Routers usually do this for you. However, NAS products often offer this facility too. Its fine to allow the NAS or any other permanently connected computer to do this job. ...

Re: Sneaky leaves his digital comfort zone.
FYI I use 3x Lejonklou Tundras on the back of AEDSM and Exaktbox6/1 into PMC Twenty.26,
Plus 3x Tundras for centre and rear channels, fed by the surround module in the AEDSM and an Exaktbox10/1.
They all work very happily together.

Re: Sneaky leaves his digital comfort zone.
There's a Lejonklou Boazu on ebay just now that may be a good way to experiment without spending a huge amount of money. Haven't heard Boazu with M140, but it does a great job with passive Akubariks which may be a useful indicator, but no guarantee of course.

Re: LEJONKLOU MUGS - Updated with first charity donations
That's very cool. I'm glad I could be a part of it. Since a few of my customers asked if I could get some in and forward them on I went whole hog and ordered 16. In the spirit of it being a charitable endeavor I am not attempting to make any money on these. At this point I don't know if there will ...
