There is no after without a before. There is no tighter despite a Friday eve adult beverage. Everything is better after a dbl g'n't. Cheers :D

And on this track I slightly prefer before to after.
Isn't it the same track? I thought you preferred after before; now you prefer before after all? ;) Just having fun :)

Sorry that your current hq turned out to be a damp squib... Hopefully the move leads to a wave of success, and a flood of orders.

Tighter 'sounds' better but is a bit up tight musically. I still prefer after for its more fluid engagement.

I think I was for that msg, but not now... It did seem worse if I was on VPN, but it's still happening for me across different devices, os, browsers, etc...

Checking 'remember me' at log in seems to help, unless you're still tweaking the website.

Re: Forum issues are discussed here

It seems that some are regularly logged out and others are not. I wonder whether it's due to the anti-DDOS attack settings. I can try lowering it one notch and see whether things improve. We have been regularly attacked during the last couple of months, like so many other Swedish websites. The numb...

Re: Hermanns System

A quick couple of listens to Take Five suggested that A2 is better than 'B2' - there's not a lot in the individual elements: B pushes the sax forward but, more importantly, doesn't bring the musical elements together as well as A.

Re: Room Treatment

Has anyone experimented with room treatments to improve their system? At the weekend I serendipitously found myself with spare rockwool insulation and two 75cm x 100cm unwanted picture canvases. It took about 5 minutes to stuff the frames with 5cm thick rockwool and place them behind the speakers t...

Re: Playground for practical listening exercises

It’s between 2 & 3 for me with 3 winning… I listened to 1,3,5,4,2,3 using Safari on the iPad mini. Sense was dragging(1) fun(3) rushed(5) hurried(4) good(2) better(3) with this song, to my ears. I don’t know if there’s temp control to test between 2 & 3 - my feeling is the optimal is closer to 3. Th...

Maybe worth a try is also a new powerstrip from Chord: https://chord.co.uk/product/powerhaus-p6-mains-distribution-block/ They do not use star-wiring like others but daisy-chain the outlets so the hierarchy of devices is ensured. Curious how they daisy-chain when there a 3 outlets each on either si...

Re: More About Powering a System

Just a quick (US) power cord update after getting system upgrades completed - thanks Tom - and letting them burn in for a while... The power cord isn't burned in yet, but a 2ft 16AWG Volex power cord (with Baohing wire) seems to be a distinct improvement over a 2m 18AWG Linn Longwell when feeding my...

Re: Playground for practical listening exercises

I prefer Clip A. Is this analog vs digital where Clip A is analog? No… it’s internal wiring in a power distribution unit Same units, one wired with Solid core silverplated copper and the other with Linn K400 Interesting idea using K400* for power distribution... I like the feel of B/112, but it see...

Which do you prefer? Brass https://photos.app.goo.gl/SbAYeVoSH3NsEFU29 Steel https://photos.app.goo.gl/aroJw3pmjokXQw567 I prefer Brass - it just flows & sounds better to my ears. I find Steel to be a bit at odds with itself rhythmically. Steel also makes the clarinet* sound a bit brassy, like a sa...

Re: Ubiquity AmpliFi HD

There's nothing "perfect" about a bandwidth of 0.2 Mbps - even on 2.4 you should get over 50 if the AVMs get over 500 Mbps on 5GHz. Which AmpliFi HD is the 'base' station, and how is it connected to your Internet? Do you have a separate modem, or is it a gateway with router capabilities? If it were ...
