I got a Wakonda and it does improve SQ quite noticably over the Majik-I's preamp. So good old Majik-I will need a new home....

I managed to find an LK100 (a pretty old one - snr 001130, but with bass crossovers already mounted). Yes, the bi-amped version is also my preference and then I will try to find a better preamp. I imagine that Kolektor might be slightly better than the Majik-I but naturally a Kairn is my dream.

Yes, LK100s are not expensive. In order to try the tri amping option two more mono cards will be needed and I fear that they might cost more than the LK100.... but maybe I can find an LK100 with the cards already fitted....
