Re: Where to next?
Really? I thought that should be done by the Utopik for Radikal which is not on the market yet? Radikal 2 is powered by the old PSU when ordered as an upgrade! This is a quotation from Linn's homepage (in German), translated by DeepL: "The improved circuit board design at the heart of the new Radik...

Re: Where to next?
Another vote for the Radikal 2, as it not only improves your LP12, but also the Urika 2. From there on it gets trickier, you'll probably have to swap a lot of components...

Let's hope that this year's setup at the High End in Munich improves things. Alas, first indications are, that it may not be so :-(

Re: Speaker Choices for Lejonklou amplifiers…?
The minimum impedance is the one to worry about, especially in the bass. The Aperturas are very easy to drive and have a hight sensitivity btw.

That sounds like a very nice upgrade :-)springwood64 wrote: ↑2024-04-06 10:28 In a month or so, the valiant Axis will be robbed of its Akito arm, boxed up, and replaced by an LP12 (with Lingo 1 and Karousel), built by Peter Swain of Cymbiosis. I'm also looking forward to the return of an LP12 to my home after an absence of 15 years.

We don't know for sure yet, if Utopik will be available for the Exaktbox-I, as this would need a much more powerful power supply for 8 amp channels and DACs.

A very good friend has the Kudos 505's and is very happy with them. Currently driven by a Klimax Organik Exaktbox and 2 Klimax Twins. But he has also tried them passive with just one Twin and he also found that very good. So I would definititely not discard them, even if they aren't floorstanders. T...

1. The Nightfly. A fellow forum member and I listened to the original vinyl plus two reissues. The latter sounded better. I learned about Carole King from my siblings, and I really like her music. I don't have many of her albums though...something I can look into... That's a good idea! They are well worth getting. I would start with "Tapestry" of course, then "Writer: Carole King" and "Music", those are the essential ...

Maybe you could make it the other way around: the limit is deactivated as a standard, but you can activate it at 80, if you want.

I like B, it conveys the dreamy quality best at the beginning and bounces along nicely. A was very good to, C I didn't like at all.
