Re: Playlist

1. The Nightfly. A fellow forum member and I listened to the original vinyl plus two reissues. The latter sounded better. The original CD of The Nightfly was badly mastered from a poor quality tape equalised for vinyl. Stevie Wonder called the record company when he heard the CD (he'd been given a ...

I played it this morning and couldn't hear what you are decribing. Is there any special point in the song, that I should listen to?

Re: Distorted Duffy?

I can't say that I've noticed this on my lp, I have the US 2008 version (which I can really recommend!): https://www.discogs.com/release/2354493-Duffy-Rockferry
Must have a listen tonight...

Re: Playlist

I learned about Carole King from my siblings, and I really like her music. I don't have many of her albums though...something I can look into... That's a good idea! They are well worth getting. I would start with "Tapestry" of course, then "Writer: Carole King" and "Music", those are the essential ...

Re: Lejonklou Boazu Integrated Amp

Maybe you could make it the other way around: the limit is deactivated as a standard, but you can activate it at 80, if you want.

Re: Playground for practical listening exercises

I like B, it conveys the dreamy quality best at the beginning and bounces along nicely. A was very good to, C I didn't like at all.

Re: Boazu vs Tundra 2.2 (with various preamps)

@Zee9: Time to settle on a system and enjoy some music? Which speakers are you currently thinking about? Two speakers have really impressed me in the past years and I'm considering trading my Akubariks for one of those (once finances allow...): Apertura Adamante, a French loudspeaker with superb mus...

Re: Boazu vs Tundra 2.2 (with various preamps)

Good as the WiiM Mini is for the price (€ 107,-), it's still a very basic streamer, that's miles away from a really good one.
You might wanna try the Majik DSM just as a streamer (not involving the digital volume) into the Boazu to see what happens.

My rack is to the left of the speakers, a little to the left of the center of the room. Unfortunately my tv (on a lowboard)has to be between the speakers, because it won't fit anywhere else.

That's what I use, it's the first time I haven't been able to play a video. Even tried downloading it to play with Quicktime, didn't work either.
Edit: I now have listened to them on my iPhone and have a clear preference No. 3.
