I'm quite sure the Solos would be better. Or maybe a new pair of Tundra Monos?

Fleet Foxes - Shore. As good as anything they've released and that's an accomplishment of note.
Listening to that on Qobuz now, it's very good indeed. I used to own Carole Bayer Sager's first album and played it quite a lot in the late 70's, but it was stolen out of my basement a few years back :-(

New Linn Majik LP12 tonearm (again)

Probably not that relevant to most of us, but due to the fact that the manufacturer of the tonearm for the Majik LP12, Jelco, closed its gates after more than 100 years in the business, Linn had to find a new supplier. The new tonearm supplier is, somewhat surprisingly, the German company Clearaudio...

It was so apparent when I swapped back to the Linn that Bill Wyman was playing was rock and roll. Stones released more fantastic live material with their reissue of Goat’s Head soup.
Oh yes! The live gig in Brussels rocks big time!

I did just see that Linn has changed their recommendation for the Karousel attachment torque to 3.5Nm from the original 4.0Nm. It appears it is time to try some more torques!
That would be most appreciated :-)

Very good examples of good bass playing, Thomas! I tend to like the funky bass players from the late 60's or early 70's Here's Bob Darin from his best album Commitment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLEAuhmgCZU Or listen to Rick Danko's (The Band) bass on King Harvest: https://www.youtube.com/watc...

I would definitely recommend a record cleaning machine. I waited a long time berore I bought one and now I couldn't live without it. Even brand new records sound better after they have been cleaned. If you don't want to spend too much, a good starting point is the new Okki Nokki One, which is much m...

I heard a single-drive speaker without a crossover once and it's one of my worst hi-fi experiences ever, so there must be more to speaker design than just that... I tend to agree with Sunbeam here.

Re: Tune Dem of Headphones

Yeah, I know what you mean. But I found both the SR125 and the SR325 to be a little too bright and bass shy compared too my PS500e, so it may be a good thing.
You can actually fit the larger G cushions to the PS500's, but I don't know if it's possible for the SR125's.

Re: Tune Dem of Headphones

I only feel the pressure of my PS500e's after a few hours, but then again, they have the L cushions and the SR125e's have the S cushion. Another factor is if you wear glasses or not and the size of your ears. It might also be an option to replace the standard cushions with one of these: https://www....
