Re: Linn Trikan faulty driver - repairable?
The mid/bass driver for the Katan/Espek/Trikan is still available from Linn according to the 2022 spare parts list. The part number is SPKR 039/1 and it runs about $115 in the US. Your Linn dealer can order it for you. It includes a replacement grill and trim ring. Installation is pretty straightfo...

Re: Linn Trikan faulty driver - repairable?
Is there a way to remove the external grill so that I can get a better look at the driver? I have Espeks, and I think the surround is very similar. Gently insert a thin stiff lever (eg the tip of a blunt table knife) and pop the surround off. It is held by on by a recessed groove around the driver ...

Linn Trikan faulty driver - repairable?
Hello, music enthusiasts I recently snagged a pair of Linn Trikan speakers in an auction. They were delivered and, unfortunately one of the mid/ bass drivers appears to be faulty. My questions are: Is there a way to remove the external grill so that I can get a better look at the driver? I'll assume...

Re: Advice wanted: Water damage to LP collection
My accident still had a happy ending: they wet lp's were all stolen before I could report it to the insurance company. They later offered me a generous settlement for the stolen lp's, that financed my Radikal and Akubariks :-) Phew. Good to hear that something positive came out of this situation. P...

Re: JBL 4645C
Does anyone know the difference between the 4645C and 4645B models, please. TIA
Re: EVENTS
Impressive set-up, Marco - look forward to the report
Re: EVENTS
Oooffff...... ThomasOK, that sounds a very interesting demo. Not least for the auditioning of two new Lejonk phono pre’s, but also feeding into Quad 57s. Looking forward to the show report

Your profile indicates that you’re based in Dubai - are the Komris there, too? Have you got transport quotes, if so?

Re: Shorter pressing process
I $plurged on the recent Simon & Garfunkel UltraDisc One Step “Bridge Over Troubled Water” and, whilst both mastering and pressing is impeccable, I still get that niggling feeling that natural musicality and interplay is eschewed in favour of sonic mastery. The vinyl is the best I’ve seen out of the...

Re: Stylus Gunk
Are you able to apply SPT without it touching the cantilever then? Always seemed impossible to me but I will try with the loupe. I certainly find it a lot easier with the aid of an illuminated magnifier. The brush that Lyra provides with the SPT fluid should be angled, and a minuscule drop on the t...

Re: Stylus Gunk
Those loupe magnifiers are superb for stylus inspection - especially when applying Lyra's SPT fluid. I got mine from Jonny at Audio Origami: http://www.audioorigami.co.uk/for-sale/ [3rd item down] I also use the Lyra brush when dry, to loosen off any dust particles. As Lego says, the magnifier is a ...

It's worth keeping in mind that the current Lingo 3 is only differentiated by its casing. The insides haven't changed.
