Re: Tony Tune-age System

My new Entity now has a sufficient number of hours to really hear what it can do for my system. However, the three new Lejonklou power cords (LPC's) have contributed a great deal of improvement as well. And they seem to be in total harmony with the Entity, Klimax Radikal and Klimax Kontrol. Overall,...

Re: LP12 Radikal problem

Actually, Chris Harban changed his plinth dimensions years ago having realized that there could be a fitment problem. He even sold me a plinth or two at a discount as they weren’t tall enough to comfortably fit a Radikal. It's really impressive that Chris Harban was able to recognize the potential ...

Re: LP12 Radikal problem

The plinths I have seen on newer LP12s for about the last year or more have generally been 66mm, including our demo Majik LP12 with the new Majik arm, and none of them have had the problem. However our demo Klimax LP12, which is over two years old has a 65mm plinth and does need the spacers. So you...

With all the new things happening to the Sondek it is always worth remembering how it looked and sounded like in the early days:

Re: Multiple Color Linn Plinths:

I understand that this is a very sensitive topic for retailers to talk about. But,.THIS IS..the most important thing to fix for Linn. NOT..any new color on the plinth,.or a new Karousel. In my opinion, the "Radikal motor & Trampolin foot design flaw" is way more important currently for many people,...

Thanks guys!
There is an informative thread regarding the Lingo 4 design flaw, although it might take a few minutes to locate.

Re: Multiple Color Linn Plinths:

I received the same email. I find it mildly amusing that the image associated with the custom color announcement shows an LP12 in yellow, yet the color palate on their website shows just about every color except yellow. I noticed that as well but figured either the color chart wasn't accurate, or a...

Re: Karousel

Linn is planning to publish more in depth dealer information on the Karousel and the promotions, including a video talking about the design of the Karousel, on or just before the 23rd. Very interesting Thomas, I'm looking forward to watching and hearing the "Karousel Design" video. +1 ... they are ...

there are more and more Ekos SE/1 comming up on the used market and sellers are mainly dealers which sell it as used from demo LP12s so I expect there is a reason behind it ... maybe a new arm comming?
I wouldn't be surprised if that were to happen.

Multiple Color Linn Plinths:

(Taking a break from covid19) I received an e-mail from Linn regarding their new bearing system, and multiple color finish options for the LP12 plinths. Does anybody know what type of wood will be selected for their new color plinths? Or what type of paint they will use? And will the new finish have...

Re: Tony Tune-age System

That's good news - the improvement in Thomas' system was quite profound. It's really difficult to understand why some of these other power cords can be so expensive, and so difficult to install. Do they not even make the sound clearer in some way - i.e. to keep the audiophiles happy? Good afternoon...

Of course not, Tony. Beck's reply said it better than I could... Thanks beck (I think ;) Good evening tokenbrit. Re: Karousel

I didn't realize Linn was so protective of their exact torque values, but they should at least provide them to people like you. Interesting interpretation that Linn are somehow being protective... I'm curious as to whether they've ever tested & admitted to an exact torque value for their fasteners,...

Re: Brikin' It !

I wish I was like you and most folks that hear only benefits to the newer components. I have enjoyed the newer LP12 components, and don't regret making the changes either. And when the Linn Lingo replaced my Vahalla power supply, there was a big musical improvement overall. However, there was somet...

Re: Karousel

I'm quite sure new torques and sockets to apply them will be needed - I see a lot more work ahead! Since the Karousel is designed by Linn, shouldn't they already have at least some idea of what the torque values are? How could they properly test the Karousel, without applying the correct torque val...

Re: Tony Tune-age System

Last week I received two Lejonklou power cords (LPC's), one for the Klimax Radikal and one for the Klimax Kontrol. And as such, I was able to compare them with three power cords from other companies. One power cord is made by PS Audio and cost $500.00. The other two are from Synergistic Research and...
