Re: Lejonklou Tundra

There has been a "leak" on the Swedish Linn forum (Selleri) after I played my final proto power amplifier over a pair of Linn Komri loudspeakers last week. It was also briefly compared to a pair of Linn Solo power amps, the outcome of which I won't comment. The power amp soon to be released is call...

That's not a bad idea, one of my friends own a vpi record cleaning machine and he'll bring it over periodically for me to use too!

Wow, that is Radikal news...for sure! It does sound like the cost could be considered reasonable, compared to purchasing the Klimax Kontrol and KDS separately. Linn continues to move ahead with innovation!

I always look back to the Advent Speakers. I only heard them in shops, but I remember them as being music for dollar values. This was before I had heard Linn. I worked in a record shop during my high school years that had a set of Advent speakers (can't remember the model number). The owner could u...

Wow, the Marantz 8B power amplifier...it's been a long time since I've seen one of those! They have been able to hold their value over the years, and can still compete with many modern power amplifiers of today...good choice ThomasOK.

Yes, very much so.

This information was posted on another forum, and apparently not many people are happy with the merge. Only time will tell if Naim becomes a better company or a worse company as a result of this merge.

Not certain why, but overall my system is sounding better now. Originally it sounded great in May, but recently there has been an improvement. Perhaps my Akiva is breaking in, along with the Radikal Dynamik power supply. Needless to say, I still like my system and all of the upgrades!

I have heard Kahn deck, sounded good. They have sent me one to try. I'll fit it to my deck and take pics and give a NO BULLSHIT review of the sound. At the very least it gets rid of the bolts being mis-aligned due to the top plate bending. That sounds great, I'm looking forward to your thoughts ! !...

That is interesting news ThomasOK, thanks for sharing! Perhaps the Linn Akiva won't have a name change, but will continue to be improved over time. Unless of course Linn eventually creates a totally differnet moving coil cartridge.

Looking forward to your thoughts after the initial break-in period.

I also prefer listening to speakers over headphones, but do enjoy my headphone listening sessions late at night so as not to disturb my wife. I have Sennheiser HD600s and like them a lot. This information makes me question why Linn made such a change in the first place...perhaps the newer tonearm cable is cheaper? That sounds unlikely, Tony. The cable is really cheap, yes. But a change for the worse, regarless of price, makes absolutely no sense for a company that lives on selling q...
