Re: Linto vs built in MM/MC Board

Linto is better though most units are also about 15-20 years old by now - I do believe they hold up well. Do note that Majik DSM comes standard equipped with an internal MM phono board only. So you would have to buy a separate MM/MC board. Majik Kontrol and all Akurate Kontrol and DSM models have th...

Re: Small top quality floorstanders

Thanks for your update and very curious what your impression of the Graham Audio 5/9f will be. As a Linn dealer it seems no more than obvious that Brian & Trevors would at least give you a good trade-in for your M140s upon puchasing a pair of 5/9f. Hmm, and perhaps good timing for me to approach the...

Re: Entity MC

Thanks for sharing your first listening impressions. Good to know that Entity should be granted some time to come on song, and curious whether it may develop itself even a bit more before it settles. Yes, a big thanks should go to Fredrik who has been working 12h shifts a day lately to tune and opti...

Re: Ekos SE/1 Anti-Skating Problem

I stand corrected, Fredrik is right on this. Sorry if I my have added to the confusion. When focusing on the emotional involvement all records should sound better - including the worse pressings. I would grant your dealer at least the opportunity to see if he can resolve the issue. Happy to hear how...

Re: Ekos SE/1 Anti-Skating Problem

Good to hear you found your way back with the help of this forum - and particularly the expert advise of Thomas. It's true that with such an improvement as Keel/Ekos SE your LP12 will now reveal the true nature of your recordings. Good pressings will sound simply wonderful, while bad ones show their...

Re: linn: small question, big question

Don't wish to dissapoint but don't expect an answer as the last time that OP 'J' posted on this forum was his above post from 2013. I don't know what path he pursued either so it probably remains unknown.

It must have taken you some time to dig this one up!

Hi Vlado!

Thanks for sharing your setup and welcome to the forum.
I particularly like your avatar and signature - with 'music first' it sounds more to me that you're a music lover first and foremost rather than fit into the audiophile category :-)

Cheers from Amsterdam,

Re: Questions of a newby to Lejonklou..

Hi Mitmu, I would look at this from a different angle and rather say that you will simply find yourself more connected and drawn into the music with a dedicated preamp like Sagatun Mono - discovering what your source is truly capable of. But just enjoy your current setup and music with the knowledge...

Thanks Marco! Picked up my Tundra last week from Alex, which I think you delivered in person just before that time ;) Poweramp section is indeed switched off, just as all the other stuff that can be switched off which is not in use, LED's etc..... Yes indeed - that was a speedy delivery but even mo...

Re: Questions of a newby to Lejonklou..

Congratulations and welcome to the forum! Glad you like Tundra 2.5 :-) Yes, Linn Silver ICs are a good and worthwhile upgrade from Blacks, but only buy 120cm factory soldered ones, don't experiment with modified versions. Shelf material does make a difference, what rack are you using? There's no har...

Re: Stacking Tundras

Hi Pedriatrik!

Last time I drove my personal pair of Keltiks was with Klimax Tuneboxes and 2x4200 as well.
Never tried Tundra amps - I think it was still version 1.X at that time but I'd be very curious too to hear them with 4x Tundra stereo 2.5...!

Wanted: Linn tweeter 038/2 for Katan, Ninka, Trikan

One of my Katan tweeters died (RIP) so I'm looking for an 038/2 tweeter as been used in Linn Katan, Ninka and Trikan - preferably the metal 3-bar version.

Re: M140 to Akudorik upgrade advise

Congratulations on your purchase. You will be enjoying these for quite some time. Should you consider any further upgrades or system changes after this I'd encourage having a listen to them in their passive configuration with a stereo Tundra 2.5. Very curious what you'd think of it! Although I never...

Re: A little Linn news

I agree with Matteo that passive Akudoriks are pricey but also simply great speakers and a pity to see them being discontinued now. I think very few dealers had these on demo and thus not many have been sold. Linn advocates strongly on their integrated systems so (analogue) separates are just of dim...
