Re: Keltik Klimax crossovers fault
I've tried Silmic II caps, both in power supplies and in the signal path (filters etc). Not impressed at all. In my case it was a mean difference. Maybe, well surely, my old caps were already on its way out, already dried up or something and any other brand would have made the same revival effect o...

Re: DeQMaster's System
Hi I didn´t remember the exact model of midrange unit i had installed on my trusty keltiks back in ¿2011?, so been diggin on them and found that my midrange is actually a Seas w15cy001 and not the one that many install on their Killer Keltiks, the m15ch002. Mine seems to be a tad less sensitive (86,...

Re: Keltik Klimax crossovers fault
Well, i has been a few days since the recapping of the Klimax KXOs.
The change isnt subtle, in fact i have had to reposition the speakers. The sound is much more vivid now, maybe something similar to what happend when i changed the Kairn for a modern Linn pre.
Outstanding.

Re: Keltik Klimax crossovers fault
Answering myself. Maybe others can find this info useful. Faulty CD12 power supply. Seems klimax crossovers use the same power supply as Linn CD12. Nothing very tragic, only a fresh set of caps (i got some fabulous Elna Sicmil 2, the evolution of the ones that klimax tuneboxes came with from Linn´s ...

Keltik Klimax crossovers fault
Hi everyone, hope someone can point me in the right direction (its getting me grey hair simply by thinking on it) I was enjoying some music when the bass vanished from my right speaker! Tried all the combinations and im completely sure one of my early klimax crossovers developed a fault. When i star...

Re: Linn Klout Problems!
I have had some klouts, and 2 of them had the same issue of bliking red led/buzzing sound. Replaced ALL the electrlolytic capacitors in the electronic boards, the main one and the small one connected to it (control board). In my both klouts those CAPS were small blue ones, nichicon brand or jamicon,...

Re: DeQMaster's System
btw, I have SEAS mids, too ...and the OW92 Tweeters, highly recommended!!! The Hiquphon Tweeters have nearly the same level as the Ninka ones, so they fit in perfectly with only modest tuning on your KlimaxXOs. With these units I‘m very happy with the delivered top-end-Sound! Hi So you have OW92 an...

Re: DeQMaster's System
Hi Kampak Yes, keltik is a interesting speaker by itself. When i heard this babies for the first time, at the place of the original owner, it was like "WOW". Once at home i had terrible headaches to get them singing. Once i got them to that level, every step i have done, the keltiks gave me more and...

C2250 doesnt have chakra technology? I always assumed, for good, that it were part of the chakra crew :( I also assume, that the "old" psu from cx100 and cx200 that ppl now are selling because of the dynamic upgrade isnt plugable on the 2250, right? I assume that even non dynamic, the standart psu o...

So Fredrik, do you think the non dynamic c2250 could replace my klout(s)? Im using a passive system, but my goal is to reach aktiv in the future. I have the chance to get 2xc2250 cheaply, but may be better to put a bit more on it and get an used 4200. What do you think guys? Regards and Happy new ye...

c2250 vs c2200
Hi Merry Xmass for everybody! Can anyone care to comment the differences between c2250 and c2200? I do know the c2200 is newer desing than the 2250 but, that doesnt imply better one, or better sonic capabilities. Afaik c2250 born to replace the klout, and now the c2200 is the little brother of the a...

Hi I wonder what, besides de quality/long of the ethernet cable and the little current noise that can be conducted by it, can affect the quality of the music that the DS constructs on itself. I mean, over the ethernet the correct packets that reach destiniy are lots more than the correct info during...

Yeah But if that box could be made with the ability of mixing old and new card, the freedom would be awesome. Lets take the keltiks as an example. Use chakra cards for every thing but the mids, which seems to be the fault there, uing an old card for that. Anyway that would be usefull to make a tuneb...

Seems, definetly, that a product like the one we´re talking here about, is not a bad idea.
Take note Fredrik!

Hi Thomas Seems to be fixed already. The link for Lejonklou´s Kikkin now points you to "Lejonklou Kikkin.pdf" Well enough! Forget about spaces between words. Spaces would be a problem with utf8 and that kind of stuff, but i think no one with a modern browser/operaive system will have any problem. BT...
