Any reason why you can’t connect to the speaker terminals?

Re: How to: add a RELt5i to the tundra 2.2 Tarandus via hi-level connection
You can’t join the left and right channel outputs with a Y-cable without them shorting each other. So that’s a no-go. However, if the Y-cable has a resistor in the region of 100k ohms on each of the signal conductors, the left and right won’t short and you’d get a mono signal reaching your subwoofer...

Re: Lejonklou Boazu Integrated Amp
A brief update on Boazu 2: I remember I once wrote that some designs just fall into place and become great without much effort. Gaio was one of them. Boazu 2 is not one of them. And I remember the original Boazu required lots of tuning as well to find its balance. I thought I was done a few weeks ag...

I ship new sockets, solder and instructions to the owner. Great service - thanks. Re: Broken Speaker Plug Socket on Boazu
Hi Pete! I'm sorry to hear your speaker socket broke. It's happened a couple of times since I started using them in 2012 and the main reason seems to be that they've been tightened too hard with the inside nut during the assembly of the unit. This has caused stress on the outer plastic ring and with...

Re: Lejonklou Boazu Integrated Amp
is it detrimental (sound quality)to the integrated amp to have a pre-out? i ask because Boazu 1.0 does not have it but having a preout would allow buyers to upgrade easily by adding a tundra to their Boazu via a Pre out. Hi Zee9! Yes, it is slightly detrimental to the sound quality of Boazu to add ...

Re: Lejonklou Boazu Integrated Amp
Hello tby! The short answer is: No, not to 2.0. But there will hopefully be an upgrade available from the current version 1.3 to version 1.x (x being a higher number than 3). The long answer is: Boazu 2 will, like Tundra Mono 3, be built and tuned in Sweden. That means a new case with integrated pil...

Re: Lejonklou Boazu Integrated Amp
Thank you both for your inputs! Sagatun, Kikkin, Superkikkin and Boazu all sound better after the volume indicator has faded out. This is because not only does the LED stop drawing current, the whole digital section including the clock is stopped and put to sleep. It doesn’t start again until either...

Re: Lejonklou Boazu Integrated Amp
Couldn’t the volume control be set up to max out at 100 whilst limiting the voltage output to ensure the amplifier stays within its optimal operating range? This is an interesting thought. The way it could be done is that a sensor checks the output stage, which is driving the loudspeakers, and as s...

Re: Lejonklou Boazu Integrated Amp
With the Tundra Mono 3 and their permanently lit LEDs, I would go one step further and have the Sagatun LEDs also light up in the color of the set volume. Do you mean that you would prefer that the volume indicator is permanently lit? Instead of fading out 3 seconds after the last volume change, as...

Re: Lejonklou Boazu Integrated Amp
Thank you Pete! Boazu 2 is in the works. This time it will be made entirely in Sweden, which has required a lot of details to be redesigned. A while back I tested adding some extra features, just like I did when the original was designed. But this time I thought I’d do it smarter, so that there woul...
