Fredrick, Your use of an independent moderator must be a hard thing to do at times. Giving up control.....shows how you make good decisions and then rely on them to work for you. I would be tempted to override this particular "conversation" edit. I think you have done the right the thing bringing it...

Charlie, I have considered setting up my Keltik system 4 x klouts, karin in the basement or at the office. The basement "ceiling" height is only 6 ft. with open joists. A classic LK system has some appeal. The more I think about it the more I'm thinking of leaving the old LP12 as is except the MC be...

The cables I'm talking about are the ones from the TT. Sorry I don't know much about how these all work. My LP12 is about the only mechanical thing I've never messed about with. Right Channel, Left Channel and ground. How long can these be? How do they attach inside the TT? Are they regular unbalanc...

Any idea how long the power and audio cables can be without becoming an issue?

Internal phono amp??

Is there any chance of seeing a Lejonklou for MM that would go inside the LP12 like the Urika? When I get back into vinyl I want to have just the LP12 and the speakers in the listening room. The rest in the basement so I'm looking for minimal cables to TT. I also do not want the expense of MC setups...

I was in a similar boat to you a few years ago. I like what I ended up with: KDS - KK - ATC SCM SL AT. I like the simplicity vs. the keltiks I still have stored. But The speakers still need proper set up. The gear between the speakers is still going to have a negative affect in that position. (I sti...

I have no experience with the difference between them either.

The only thing I'd be able to do with MkIs is second guess myself. No joy there for me.

Loricraft PRC3. Just saying the vacuum on the tonearm that rests on new clean 100% cotton on each record side is quiet and removes all the wet residue. It is a focused vacuum that tracks across the record. Actually its fun to watch it work. No chance of record damage. No dirt transfer. It works and ...

I don't recall if it is KDS or KK that has the plastic box the dynamik sits in that has flanges that will hold it in place. It sounds like a normal thing to me.

Suggestion to administrator

Would it be possible to have the open threads show grouped at the beginning of the list. The locked threads at the end - saved for reference. This would just make it easier for everyone. The number of pages makes it time consuming to see what is still available. I can't see any drawback to this, but...

Sounds similar to the differences in Cara firmware discussions. I recall thinking that the main difference was the perspective of where in the audience I was seated. Like 4th row or 20 something. I never did decide, a new firmware came out that was an improvement. Saved my brain. Khan this mean a so...

With ATCs the top end is the first thing to go when out of position even a little. It is the only negative I've heard about them. Did you do any positioning yourself? I have only heard 242s with the 3k array. The demo was the pits. Two weeks ahead I asked for a demo. The dealer threw them in the roo...

Update. Changed the cables from the KK to the ATCs. Was using the Belden (I originally posted Belkin, which is wrong, in the 1st post) supplied by the ATC dealer. Now using Mogami 2534 quad XLR microphone cable. These are 15 ft. long as opposed to the 30 ft. Beldens. So much better. The thought of a...

The Tundra thread leads back to this one.

Rereading the thread, I'm glad not to bring it up in the Tundra thread, I understand your view.

However the goal of active speakers and Lejonklou value is hard to not see.

Is it worth considering a way to use Linn cards in your amps?
